Extraordinary Measures

Good to see that after playing a man fighting to save his family in Firewall (spit), and a man battling to protect his family in Indiana Jones 4, Harrison Ford has decided to extend his range yet further.....by playing a man helping another man to save his family.

Risky stuff, methinks. But oh Mr Ford, you're my hero! If anyone can pull off this career changing move, its you! Go fight that disease with your fists! Make an angry face! Do it for the children! And you can buy more planes with the reward!

There will no doubt be someone who will get the Ford Finger of Doom.

LMAO!!:hat:

Yeah I don't know what to think about this! Now if Ford was playing Aleister Crowley that might be a different story!

Well, we'll see how this turns out of course, but on paper the role sounds like a good fit for Harrison!

Indiana Jones and the Genetic Disorder of Doom!

Harrison Ford's career choices make me tear up. In a bad way. (replican't said it all in his little intro to this thread.)
I still hope the best for Crossing Over, though.

The Mosquito Coast, Frantic, Presumed Innocent. The quality of movies may have varied but, damn it, he used to stretch himself. He's probably the most wasted great performer of the last decade.

I agree and would add Regarding Henry among the three films you listed. I wouldn't go so far as to say he's been wasted exactly, but when you consider some of the roles he turned down... oy.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about Regarding Henry. And Working Girl.

How is this new movie bad news for Ford's career? It doesn't sound like a Frantic/Firewall type movie to me.

And I'm really looking forward to Crossing Over also.

I wouldn't pin my hopes on Crossing Over.

It's about Harrison making sure his family get to the other side of the road safely.

hahaha. Too true. But you forgot to add that Ford plays a Tommy Lee Jones impersonator working in a Dry Cleaners who has to make sure his family get to the other side of the road. Its the detail in the character thats important.

whats so bad about this career move? shouldnt be up to the actors/actresses decision anyway? if they want the role they will most likely try to get it.
