Even though, I don't really go for fan fiction, I'd like to read this one:

"Indiana Jones and the Ghost of Shaka Zulu"

I know that Fountain of Youth is a fan game in the same vein as Fate of Atlantis. It is currently still in development. I believe the projected release date for the final version is Julune 6th, 2023, shortly after the second coming of Jesus.

I've always loved this painting. Wilford Brimley as Abner. Ha ha. Gotta love it!:D

There's a page of the "Jungle Queen" promo artwork by Adam Hughes posted here:
Nice. An Indy story with a gorilla is something I could very easily go for.
The woman Indy is holding looks similar to Edith Dunne from Marvel #1 & 2.
(I like the "Band-Aid" detail on her knee.)

You can bet your hat, they are! Look at the dates of these adventures.
"VG" supposedly stands for Video Game. No idea what "ST" is supposed to mean...

I believe most of these are fan fiction, though Jungle Queen was scheduled to be a series for Dark Horse comics and got cancelled when they stopped doing Indy comics (the first time). Too bad, as I think it probably would have been one of their better stories. Adam Hughes was writing and illustrating it.

I've corresponded with a few of the fan fiction authors and in fact wrote two of the stories myself. Indiana Jones and the Serpent of Evil is one I wrote solo. Indiana Jones and the Golden Death was written by me and a few other folks on the Indyfan.com forum about nine years ago. I was given the okay to do a final edit over the piece as a whole. The end result is pretty fun.

Both stories can still be found posted at Indyfan.com. If you get a chance to read either story, let me know what you think!

Thanks

Surely all the books are fan fiction of some sort? only difference is the novels were obviously written by actual authors. Its not like the authors of the published books were comissioned to write them or anything?

So if i was to write a book it would be fan fiction, say I was to get it published hypothetically, it wouldn't then not be fan fiction.

The difference is what is licensed by Lucas to be produced.

Does anyone have a complete copy of this? Part one doesn't work on the website, and it looks like a good read.

Um, yes, that's exactly what happened. The various Indy publishers obtained the licensing rights to produce Indiana Jones novels, and then they (probably jointly with Lucasfilm) comissioned the writers.

It would still be fan fiction, and your book would be quickly removed from booksellers. Lori Jareo tried the same thing with Star Wars.

I'm always secretly (ok, not so secretly) hoping that they'll one day publish "Lost Horizons." That's a story that needs to be told frankly. Especially since Abner's little girl grows up to be Mrs Jones.

I don't know if I'd want to go there. Marion had a tough life (not canon but Karen Allen envisioned her having a history w/prostitution), and we already know the relationship ends badly at the time.

I think it might be almost painful.
