Hobby Lobby is a Oklahoma-based chain of arts and crafts stores whose owners are heavily involved in American right-wing politics.

Hobby Lobby Stores says it has "a passion for the Bible," but prosecutors allege its passion may have led the company to violate the law.

Hobby Lobby in has agreed to pay a $3 million federal fine and forfeit thousands of ancient Iraqi artifacts smuggled from the Middle East that the government alleges were intentionally mislabeled, federal prosecutors said.

A dealer based in the United Arab Emirates shipped packages containing the artifacts to three different corporate addresses in Oklahoma City. Five shipments that were intercepted by federal customs officials bore shipping labels that falsely declared that the artifacts' country of origin was Turkey.

The Christian president of Hobby Lobby who's embroiled in a 'looted' artifacts scandal is building a $500 million Museum of the Bible.

The Museum of the Bible will be in a 430,000-square-foot center in Washington, D.C.

Construction on the museum began in 2015, and is now nearing completion as the November opening date approaches.

So items going in a creationist museum end up having been looted/fake? Why am I not surprised. I kind of wish the real artifacts would go to a real museum too.:whip:
