I'm something of a sucker for survival shows, and Primal Survivor on NatGeo has been pretty interesting. According to the show's log line, the host -- I forget his name -- travels to remote corners of the globe and tries to see how local tribes have survived in harsh conditions for thousands of years.

I'm in the middle of watching Samurai Champloo finally after disregarding it for years because it wasn't Cowboy Bebop. Frankly, I would still rather have more Cowboy Bebop. Given how good Space Dandy is though, I figured it was time to give Shinichiro Watanabe's other big series a fair shake.

While it doesn't reach the heights of those two series, Samurai Champloo is definitely interesting. I'll see it through to the end.

Chanbara and the hip-hop aesthetic still doesn't quite go together.

All of that's the long way of explaining how I came across this:

Riverdale is better than it has any right being.

Still not as interesting as Afterlife with Archie though.

Versailles season 2 premiers stateside at the end of September, but you can catch up with season 1 on Netflix. It was very good.

The original Ducktales is timeless. This one? I dunno. I immensely dislike most of the voice cast, and at time it looks like some Toon Boom crap.

I do like the new art style, and the new version of the theme song is rather good too.

In the brave new world of Disney's Indiana Jones stewardship, they should make Dr. Jones a woman. And an Indian. And have several musical interludes!
