Anyone make their own hat?

I was looking in Deckards guide to gear and props and gound a hat making tutorial in one of the links he included, i'd like to try making one but it looks very difficult, has anyone ever tried making their own Indy hat? Here's thetutorial http://www.indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?t=27053

I have neither the talent nor drive to make my own hat
Though I do have the money to get someone else to do it for me

Same here. I think I'd screw it up completely!
Still... It must be very cool to have made your very own Fedora...
Oh well.

Looks like fun... but also looks like A LOT of work.

I was thinking a jacket project would be interesting for awhile, but apparently its a pretty complicated pattern... and I'm sure Wested or Magnoli could do a better job than I ever could... and probably cheaper too. (Also, there is the tiny little fact that I don't even know how to sow...)

Making a hat does seem extremely hard, if I had the money to get the supplies I'd give it a try.

It's probably difficult enough just to find the appropriate materials
