not a specific line but the kid playing the banjo in Deliverence must be the most referenced thing in movie history.

"We have a situation"

Seems you cant have a thriller without that damned line being in the trailer.

Overused or overplayed?

R2D2 "whirrrrrrrrrrr beeep whistle whirrrrrrr beep beep beep bep boooo beep"
Lao che "...So it is true?" (on my dvd driver anyway)

'why so serious?' was a masterstroke. I don't think it's been on the circuit long enough. But I guess whoever scripted it ain't complaining that much.

The double irony of Heath Ledgers untimely demise makes it so much more poignant! I think in a hundred years film buffs will still be throwing that one around. Even if it may be as unappealing as salted popcorn.

I'm going to have to go with the ever popular "Let's do this!" that seems to be shouted whenever the hero has finally worked up the gumption to do whatever it is they're supposed to be doing.

"The Duke" can't even get another video game made. He's as dead as Donovan.

Definitely overused. But the thing I always find amusing, is that it's a misquote. Ilsa asks Sam to "Play it once, Sam, for old times' sake." Sam feigns ignorance out of deference to Rick, but Isla isn't buying it. "Play it, Sam. Play 'As Time Goes By,'" she says.

"It's gonna blooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !"

"It's gonna be a bumpy ride!"

"I'm out!" (of ammo, that is.)

"This just keeps getting better and better..."

"We're not gonna make it!"

"Take care of (so-and-so) for me!"

"Go on without me!" (Note: Toy Story spoofs this line so well!)

"AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!" (in practically every horror movie ever made...)

These are just some of my favorite groaners.
