The Ugly Mugs of Raveners...

Indy's brother

Thanks again, Mrs. Indy's Brother gets the credit for the bike--it's a modified Powerwheels Harley. She painted it, built a working headlight for it, took out the soundcard from the whip and installed a button on the gas tank so it plays the Raiders march. She rigged up the frame for the sidecar (which was tested for 75 lbs!). If you look close you can tell it's actually made from a kitchen trashcan!

My kid still wears the jacket and hat all the time, as a matter of fact:

This pic is from a month ago when I got my rucksack ala-Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. After explaining it to my boy, he said he needed it and his hat...then proceeded to chase and punch imaginary "Bad Guys" around the house for an hour!

And Dr.Jonesy, get a haircut!(just kidding, I wish had half the hair, coverage that is).

Haha I think I'll keep it while I still got it!

I'm just relieved we have no baldness in my family, though the thickness of my hair is a curse....lol

I'm keepin' my rockstar hair for now

Thanks Stoo! I just told the missus that you thought she was my daughter, of course she thought that was pretty great :D

As long as I'm spending some time in this thread, I'm kind of surprised no one here has posted any of their own creations from this site... I guess I'll be the first:

Don't worry, there are a lot more to choose from. It's free and good for a cheap thrill! ;)

My wife told me that friends of ours were getting married and that they would celebrate their wedding with a fancy dress party. My immediate reaction was:

?I?m going as Indiana Jones!?

She frowned at me.

?You can?t do that. It?s a themed costume party. And I don?t think Indiana Jones fits the theme...?

But I wouldn?t be dismissed so easily.

?What?s the theme then?? I asked her.

She looked at the invitation.

?Latin.?she said.

To wich I responed: ?Well, that?s perfect for Indiana Jones then, isn?t it??

She frowned again and asked: ?Well, how do you figure that then? Latin means South American and ballroom dancing kind of costumes. Now how are you going to justify going as Indiana Jones??

?Well...? I responded: ?South America, 1936, Indiana Jones!?

She sighed and told me I was incorrigable....

^ Haha.

I would've done the exact same thing, Joose.

Another situation successfully handled by an Indyfan.

Were the other guests confused too? Or did they think you fit in just fine?

Actually the costume was very much appreciated, especially by the groom, who is a good friend of mine and knows I'm a major Indy fan.

As my wife and I walked in he turned to his bride and said: "I told you he was going to come as Indiana Jones!"

And the way it turned out, we were some of the very few people who didn't come in, wearing Sombrero's...

Kind of felt like hanging out with Pancho Villa's crew. So once again a good reason for an Indy costume... :whip:

And Indy could read and speak Latin too! What further justification is needed?

Indeed, well put, Mickiana.

Why didn't I think of that?

Hi, Robyn. Good to see you posting again!:) I heard you on the 100th IndyCast and you have a voice of tenderness and sincerity. Awhile back you mentioned that your were going to continue reading The Raven but refrain from posting. Hopefully, you've reconsidered.:whip:

@fenris: Nice picture. Where is that?

Thank you so much Stoo! And I'm so grateful for all the Young Indy content you bring to the IndyCast, you've gotten a lot of people watching Young Indy now who'd never watched it before(including myself!) I most definitely reconsidered not posting at the Raven! Thanks for the encouragement :hat:

Seriously, Webley, you're awesome, and funny as all get-out. Plus I can tell already by your photos you live in the cool part of America. Ah, the countryside! How I miss you... (reminisces)
