Meh. You're such a child.

You're calling me a hypocrite...and then call me a child? Right! Please, keep entertaining me, boy. You're rather humorous.

LOL

And who called who a hypocrite? Allow me to quote you:

What others think of it doesn’t effect my opinion of it. Are you implying that you’ve never agreed with a majority before? I find that hard to believe.

Calling me a liar? A hypocrite prone to hyperbole? Or just flatly misrepresenting me for your own pointless point? Eh?

Meh. And to think I'd defended you in the past. You just don't seem to understand moderation? You have no sense of reality, only your own self-assured superiority.

Whatever. Pointing this out is pointless.

Now you're getting nasty. I mean common...I'm not flaunting superiority. I don't need to. I already know I'm better then you. That's not really saying much whatsoever. I’m shockingly amused that you even have the ability to reply. It’s like watching a monkey use power tools. You make about as much sense too. Next time I'll introduce you to logic, you've clearly never met. Personally I think you're so whiney right now, aside from possibly being on the rag, is that I've actually just pwned you in your argument with logic and reason. Why else would you be so pissed off about someone not agreeing with you? Now please, stop acting all butt hurt.

Lol.

Not worth my time.

Such a tool. Such a tool, that it's hilarious.

Well, anywho, I'm looking forward to seeing Indiana Jones 4 and deciding whether I like it. Glad to know you hate it before having laid eyes on it.

Hope this works out for you, this cocksure masturbatory attitude. Keep slinging your **** at the wall... maybe one day the monolith will speak to you.

...doubt it.

...but true.

Haggis is the only way to explain the over-zealous, over-long reboot that was Casino Royale. Admittedly I'm not much of a Bond fan to begin with... but I can usually enjoy a Bond movie. His script made it nigh unbearable. Wasn't too surprised to later find out he wrote it.

Well i just made it a tie between Alien and Aliens. I hope more Alien fans vote for it! Aliens was entertaining but the first film was more intelligent, and it had some of the best production design I've ever seen. That derelict space craft is one of my favorite set pieces ever.

The thing that made Aliens great for me was I loved all the characters (or loved to hate them).

When I saw Alien3 in the theater, I almost walked out when they killed off two of my favorite characters DURING THE CREDITS!!!

Haven't seen the directors cut of Alien3.

I think Aliens aged just fine, but I just re-watched it on cable last night and something bugged me that I never really thought about before. Ripley has been drifting in hypersleep for 57 years and the colony on LB-426 has been there for 20 years. What are the odds that Ripley's coming out of hypersleep and the aliens attacking on LB-426 happening at the exact same time like that? How much time passes between Ripley's rescue and the alien incident on LB-426. Do they indicate that at all?

The less said about Alien Resurrection the better. Has there EVER been a #4 sequel that was worth a damn? Indy IV wasn't horrible but definitely the weakest in the quadrilogy IMO.
Some of the worst movies in history have been a part 4.

Examples:

Superman IV
Alien IV
Death Wish IV
Batman and Robin
Friday the 13th IV

I think when they make a part IV it's ONLY about making a buck. People are going to go see it even if it's crap.

Where's everyone with some actual taste? Can we allow this travesty? A vote for Alien is a vote for quality!

They only made a part 4 because Sigourney Weaver didn't want them to make an Alien Vs Predator spin-off instead.

I'm afraid "quality" is losing 15-12 right now. I think Alien is great, but I liked the characters in Aliens more.

ALIEN is far and away the best film of the four, as far as quality is concerned. Scott's direction, the screenplay, the performances... all far neatly into place. It's near-perfect.

ALIENS is delightful fun, but it's not as well-crafted as the first installment. ALIEN3 (extended cut as found on the DVD) is underrated, but still uneven. ALIEN RESURRECTION is awful.

Loved Aliens, the opening scene with the "Space Marines" rocks. On of the best fictional betrayals of combat troops. Must have worked with real Marines.

I wasn't as original as Alien, but a fun Popcorn muncher. A fun movie on all levels.

Alien: Original masterpiece with superb acting.
Aliens: Oooooohhhhh! Look at the big guns!
Alien3: A nasty sequel. That's why it's good.
Alien Resurrection: Beautifully realised set designs. I prefer it to Aliens.

Wait wait wait...so you DON'T like Aliens? I know everyone got their own opinions but uh...wow. Doesn't help you're still stating your opinions as fact, and then want to get upset when people disagree with you.

Alien and Aliens are two masterpieces, but on two different ends the spectrum. One is more of a claustrophobic horror film with the other being more of a action-suspense thriller. I love both, but Aliens just a bit more. The xenomorph themselves have got to be the creepiest ****ing monster ever created. The look, the snarl with the saliva everywhere, the face-huggers, the ACID BLOOD...just perfect.

I like to think Alien 3/Alien Res don't exist. Pure garbage.

Wow...nobody is this dim IMO. IMO, I can't believe you said that. IMO, I guess it makes you feel better if I put IMO with everything. I guess it beats getting into flamewars and then complaining about someone's threat to the mods despite doing the EXACT SAME PLEA earlier today IMO.

The long cut of Alien 3 is really quite extraordinary. It's the best of the sequels.

I'd rate this way:

Alien: 4/4
Aliens: 3/4
Alien 3: 2/4
Alien 3 longer cut: 3.5/4
Alien Resurrection: 1.5/4

Don't even get me started on the AvP fiascos.

Aliens is a good film, action packed, but emotionally shallow. The boldest film is Alien 3, which dares to condemn Ripley.

You're a sad, pathetic excuse for a human being.

Now get the **** out of my topic, both of you. I won't let you derail my topic with your ignorant bull****.

Alien Resurrection is not that bad. In my opinion, none of the films in the series are un-enjoyable.

And also, Alien: Resurrection gets Ron Perlman Points, which have been scientifically proven to boost awesomeness in any given situation.

This movie has real balls (unlike it's predecessor, all flashy, gung-ho mullets and silk suits) and proves you don't need a happy ending to be a great film.

Agreed. I love Alien 3 so much, always been my favourite. So dark and gritty and the perfect end to the trilogy with Ripley's sacrifice. I loathe Alien Resurrection though, a joke.

True. I've always wondered who'd win in a fight between Ron Perlman and Bruce Campbell. Perhaps we'll never know.
