How to make a satchel

Ok sorry about this thread....there was someone on here who needed tips on how to make a satchel. And I spent the last hour trying to find that person so I could give him pics and sizes but any way.I started a thread to show any one who wants to know a little on how to make one....Mods please erase this thread if you dont think its worth showing....


Okay heres my satchel me and Mom made. the strap is from a girls purse we just tooking it off then sewn it back on to mine.



heres the inside....its just a piece of material in the middle making it have 2 sides.attached to the back sides.



this is what connects the purse to the purse string.I just went to the ear~rings and got a big luppy one.took it apart and bam I have a circley thingy.


uh.....mom put a cell phone holder in the side of the satchel.hehe

and heres the snaps.I just went to the sewing isle and the'll have big ones back there some where.


:Sides: 4 and a half inches wide. And 12 inches long.

:Front: 12 inches wide and 12 inches long.

:back: 12 inches wide and 20 inches long

:bottom: 3 and a half inches wide and 11 inches long

:inside: 11 and a half inches wide and a 11 and a half inches long.

Wow! That is very, very good. I've tried to make a satchel myself and it didn't turn out near as good as this. So I resolved that by just buying one.

I think the cell phone holder is cool too. I mean, if you are out using that satchel on an archaeological dig in Egypt and you need to call someone fast and there are no other phones around, you just whip out your cellphone to call. No, I am not being sarcasstic. It's a smart idea to add one!

well I actually use the satchel as my purse I carry with me every where.lol so yeah I look like a major geek.....but I am so no worry's.lol I love my purse/satchel It carry's every thing my heart desires.hehehehe
