High-Res VHS Cover Artwork?

I'm trying to track down high-resolution scans of the VHS covers. Well, technically, speaking, I'm trying to track down high-resolution artwork from the Young Indy releases.

Here's the status of artwork from the various releases:

06 - Spring Break Adventure - 601x781, clean artwork on http://www.mikebutkus.net/
08 - Trenches of Hell - 1023x1433 with "Joven Indiana Jones" text on http://www.movieposterdb.com/ (rough sketch on http://www.drewstruzan.com/)
10 - Phantom Train of Doom - 601x781, clean artwork on http://www.mikebutkus.net/
11 - Oganga the Giver/Taker - 601x781, clean artwork on http://www.mikebutkus.net/
12 - Attack of the Hawkmen - 400x739 VHS cover scan (not sure where I found it)
13 - Adventures/Secret Service - 601x781, clean artwork on http://www.mikebutkus.net/
15 - Daredevils of the Desert - 258x475 VHS cover scan (not sure where I found it)
16 - Tales of Innocence - 601x781, clean artwork available on http://www.mikebutkus.net/
17 - Masks of Evil clean artwork - 601x781, clean artwork on http://www.mikebutkus.net/ (rough sketch on http://www.drewstruzan.com/)
20 - Mystery of the Blues - 601x781artwork available on http://www.mikebutkus.net/
22 - Hollywood Follies - - 1023x1433 with "Joven Indiana Jones" text on http://www.movieposterdb.com/ (rough sketch on http://www.drewstruzan.com/)

I guess the one that's really desperate for a good scan is Daredevils of the Desert. Anyone have higher-res covers to share?

Nice finds, InexorableTash! Those are a higher resolution than anything I could point you towards. I can't find the rough sketch of "Trenches of Hell" on Struzan's website. Do you have a direct link? There is a thread on here somewhere that contains his roughs for "Hollywood Follies", "Masks of Evil" and "Trenches of Hell" but I can't find it! If no one else can find it then I'll re-post the images here.

As for full, clean artwork...in addition to "Daredevils"...There's more!
"Trenches of Hell"
"Attack of the Hawkmen"
"Peacock's Eye"
"Hollywood Follies"

Thanks for the links.:hat:

Here's a two-up of Hollywood Follies and Masks of Evil

http://www.drewstruzan.com/illustra...6&co&gallerystart=26&pagestart=1&type=co&gs=2

Clicking on that takes you to the sketch for Trenches of Hell:

movieposterdb has higher-res covers of more of the "Las Aventuras Del Joven Indiana Jones"-branded posters as well - not clean, but cropped/higher rez than on Mike Butkus' site.

I suppose one more source of art to consider are the Choose Your Own Adventure covers:

The SPF likenesses are "meh" (apart from #8). The artist (George Tsui) captured CC well though.

Yes, can't somebody either pay for credits or spend time uploading images to this site so you can fulfill his oh-so-reasonable request?

Awesome, thank you!

Um... sure! More, more, I'm still not satisfied!

I missed Treasure of the Peacock's Eye in my list - I only have a 256x475 image of that one, so it'd be the top hit on my list. Following that would be Attack of the Hawkmen.

BTW, my selfish reason for wanting these is that as we discover snippets from the soundtracks (e.g. from Lego Indy) I put together playlists and want album art, so I've been adapting from the in the grand tradition of Laserschwert's "Vol 5" cover for Masks of Evil. Nothing worth sharing, alas.

Thank you for these scans, indyclone. I remember this VHS cover the best of all. I remember being in BlockBuster with my Grandmother when I first seen this. I would always stare at this cover probably because it was something "new" to me when it came to Indiana Jones's world. I finally rented it after seeing it a countless amount of times. I remember I enjoyed it quite well.

Poster/Flyers

A handful of Thai flyers for the Young Indy episodes recently appeared on eBay - I foolishly let them slip by:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390124799417
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370298694667
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370298694632
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370298694697

These might be of interest because they show the VHS cover artwork in as-yet-unseen uncropped (or less cropped) format.

http://www.mikebutkus.net/

So, here's the website of the artist who did the VHS covers. 7 of them appear at his site: Phantom Train of Doom; Oganga, the Giver and Taker of Life; Tales of Innocence; Spring Break Adventure; Adventures in the Secret Service; Mystery of the Blues, and Masks of Evil. Hollywood Follies and Treasure of the Peacock's Eye do not appear on the site but do at your ebay links.

(For those who are counting, this excludes Trenches of Hell, Daredevils of the Desert, and Attack of the Hawkmen.)

Edit: All of this information is above, nearly, now that these have been merged, but my post is devoid of content if I remove it, so I'll leave it be.

Thanks for the merge!

The other relevant threads are:

Drew Art - roughs for Trenches of Hell, Hollywood Follies and Masks of Evil.

Cool Custom DVD covers! which has detail on the whole Struzan/Butkus thing and images from his site.

(Stoo has already cross-linked these threads in the past)

Has anyone communicated with Butkus to see if he did the Trenches/Daredevils/Hawkmen covers?
