Only One Skull on poster, keychain, etc...
That's hardly an indication of anything. As we've said, there's only one skull driving the story forward.

You will say they just minimized, but I think if there were more in the film - there would be more Lego figures.
Nah. Lego's been cheapskates lately. They put as few products in as possible, and they're clearly not going to build a room with all thirteen crystal skeletons when it's only a small section of their playset. You can't take their Temple of Akator playset too literally - I mean, look how much they minimalized the grand staircase!

The book is just conceptual art. To stir up interest.
No, it's not. THE LOST JOURNAL OF INDIANA JONES is supposed to be Indy's faithful documentation of his adventures, reflecting the finished product. The art was drawn specifically for the book based on the film itself. It's as official and solid a source we have for INDY IV, and far more reliable than inferences made based on a Lego toy set.

As mentioned earlier, IMHO, the McGuffin will be a single skull, although when we get to the temple we'll see that there are in fact 13 (12 already being in place)...

That commercial makes the big Kingdom LEGO set look like the most awsome toy ever made...the director is the Spielburg of toy commercials. :p
