No, it is still possible.
If the rumor that Ford negotiated a double-deal for EpSeven and Indy 5 turns out to be true, then we might hear some news about a script being underway around the middle of 2014-ish. Or at least I hope so.
It sounds like Ford wants to put the character behind him. Also, if a 5th installment were to be made the Hollywoodian elites would want to go ahead and make one more to make it a round second trillogy to avoid an awkward, well, 5th wheel. Especially considering how Indy IV was made out as a wrap-up to the film series. No offense to the well-aging Harry, but Idunno if he's got the physical or mental patience for two more Indy films, let alone on top of Star Wars.
I can see an Indiana Jones reboot with a different leading actor at some point in the future, for better or for worse, as quite a few have speculated.
If nothing else, I'm just rehashing what's already been said to hear the echo against the thread walls.
Nah, ain't no need for a second trilogy. Each Indy movie is pretty much discrete, unlike the Star Wars trilogies or what have you. Also, Indy IV already feels like the fifth wheel. It can't get any worse from here. As long as there is the possibility for that movie to have a great script written around Harrison Ford's age, I. Want. To. See. That. Movie.
I feel like he is well equipped to don the hat. For anything really physical you use a stunt double, or have Shia LeBouf take the "bumps."
IF an Indy 5 does come off, I hope they don't have any family along for the film. I'd prefer a new sidekick and have no more than 2 along with him.
KOTCS became a circus with Mutt, Marion, Ox and Mac in tow. Too many characters there all after screen and story time. Poorly executed gags, poorly executed reveal of both Marion and Mutt. Ox was pointless and Mac was the one they should of had along on his own IMO to make him a stronger focus with Indy.
dont get me wrong, i would love one last adventure with Harry, a dark gritty movie like raiders not kid friendly like Skull, with a old gruff indy. it sound like he's agreed to star in all three new star wars films, i dont think he will have the time left for it.
Star Wars is not the issue here, I think. Even IF he will star in all of the three new movies, which is still debatable anyway, they could easily shoot Indy 5 inbetween them. Remember, Raiders happened just between Empire and Jedi. I can see Indy happen again between Episode VII and VIII, now that there's an even bigger company behind them.
