Another Epiphany has passed. The Galette des Rois has been finished. A lengthy illness was overcome, and New Year's preparations are underway. So it's time for a new post that the Social Security set will grouse about.
And now for a taste of things to come:

Those fifteen seconds whet the appetite.
The sun setting behind New York City Skyline, police sirens, a gunshot in the night, and Daredevil?s logo illuminating (presumably) his Hell?s Kitchen neighborhood: these all quickly establish the tone of Marvel?s attempt at reestablishing ol? Hornhead?s street cred following Batfleck?s cinematic misadventure. It?s also one of the great things about Marvel?s cinematic output ? couching superhero stories in larger genres. In the mood for pulp adventure? The First Avenger will meet your needs? Pulp spy stories? Meet Agent Carter. Need a modern day spin on the man-monster and science run amuck tale made famous by Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde? Say hello to The Incredible Hulk. Space Opera? A gun toting raccoon and his talking tree bodyguard will see you over here.
Now with Daredevil, Marvel is tackling the urban crime drama. Dig the teaser trailer below.

It could almost be an episode of Law & Order back when it was good!
Matt's big ol' Roman parachute is firmly in play. His billy clubs/batons/whatever are there, and we have blood. All in all it's as different as anything Marvel has done yet. I'm definitely intrigued. While I never really read his series in my younger days, I always liked the duplicity of the character. The intellectual lawyer & peacekeeper is constantly combating the violent vigilante that lies just below the surface.
Is that the Hand?!
