The Disney company has announced that they will make a sequel to the popular 1964 film "Mary Poppins".

Those two should not get together.

The character Mary in the P. L. Travers 1934 book was much different the one in the film.
The stories were set in the 1930's and Mary was a much stronger character.

At one point the two children follow Mary to the zoo at night.
Mary introduces them to her "cousin", a Hamadryad, who is the real "king of the jungle".

Since "Hamadryad" is a British term, an illustration was provided in the book for Americans:

"Mary is bringing over a friend named Indiana Jones"
"I hope he isn't squeamish"
