BTW, I'd freaking LOVE to have some of my work in the upcoming TOPPS card sets... I'm not sure if my art is up to their standards, but if anyone can put in a good word for me...

Wow that's good. The likeness of Harrison Ford is dead on. What's the original size of your painting?

It's 18" x 24" -- oils on board. I thought it'd try a new medium and style this time, rather than trying to ripoff Drew Struzan again. (Even though I'm quite proud of my "ripoff" paintings...!)

Indy fan art redux

It's only a month (!) after I posted my most recent artwork up that I realized the head is just a tad bit too big in proportion to the body -- the result of trying to best match (or so I thought) the dimensions of Harrison Ford's head to the model I used. Not one to abandon a painting until I feel truly "done" with it, I played around for hours in Photoshop to correct the problem, shrinking Indy's head by about 4% - 5% and painting in the areas to mask where the hat's outline used to be. Look closely and you'll see the difference -- especially with the vines above Indy's head, and the branches to the right of his hat.

I Totally like it great work.

Really love it, love the top and bottom, glad that you put those vines onto that stone, they make all the difference. The background and final colour is very nicely done too.
