I have an poster set from Temple of Doom since 1984, they are original promotional items, but can not find any more information about them.

So if any of you guys know what these are, please let me know.

If wanted I can post better quality pictures somewere next week:

Can't say I recall ever seeing these... what else does it say on the posters? Anything on the backs? Size? Any idea what they were created for?

On the posters there is not more information then the usual copyright stuff.
The back is just plain white.

They come from the Dutch distributor of Temple of Doom, they have had two sets of these and were to be used during the royal premiere of the film.
However one ( this set) set was not used, and they used these posters instead:

This picture should give you an idea of its size:

This set is not special created for the Dutch premiere, but in all these years I could not find any other sets or any information about it.

Perhaps they are either lobby cards or photobusta's? Several countries had oversize lobby cards (which are often refered to photobustas)... normal set size ( for North America anyways) is 8. Nine is odd.

What are the measurements (in inches)?

This could be something like photobusta, but like you said those are mostly eight and these are a nine piece set.

I will measure them up this weekend for an exact size.

They use to have similar style posters for sale through the Star Wars/Lucasfilm fan club for Raiders. Those were made by a poster promo company in the U.S. and you could find them in stores like Spencer Gifts/etc,

Looks like from your scans there is some printing down on the left and right corners of the poster - what does it say?

The smal print says something like TM & copyright lucasfilm ltd all rights reserved.

These are not re-prints used for mass distribution in stores like Spencer.
But could be very well distributed by the Lucasfilm fanclub in those days, they used to have pretty good stuff :)

I will get them out soon to make beter photographs, but unfortunatly i have dropped my camera thats why it takes an little longer.

I'm no pro. But, those do look like they are part of a fan club. Posters aren't worth alot of money but to the people who own them they are priceless.

I suggest you frame them and hang 'em. Or you could give them to me :hat: .

I'm pretty sure they are Pepsi promo posters. My dad brought all of them home for me from his grocery store, when I was little. I want to say that there were 10 total...man I wish I still had 'em-brings me back:whip: .
