Who's David Niven? There was George Lazenby...

David Niven was a great British actor, he's probably best remembered for Phileas Fogg in Around the World in 80 Days. He was also in a few of the Pink Panther movies w/ Peter Sellers, and some action pictures like 55 Days at Peking. Anyway, he was in Casino Royale, from the Ian Fleming novel, which is kind of a spoof of the other Bond stories, with Niven as an aging 007. Also the only one with Fleming's approval, or so I believe, and a truly all-star cast, with Niven, Peter Sellers, Woody Allen, Bill Holden, Deborah Kerr, Charles Boyer, Ursula Andress, John Huston, George Raft and Orson Welles.

I can't even count nivel as a bond, nor that casino royale as a bond film, it was a spoof and I found it boring and dull

Yeah, so did I. I rented it once and I stopped watching it because it was so boring and stupid. I think Timothy Dalton was a great Bond actor. I wish he could've done more Bond movies, but The Living Daylighs shall always be my favorite Bond film. Roger Moore had SOME good Bond movies, like FYEO and TSWLM. Octo***** was OK.

as for Casion royale: me too! I watched it on AMC and stopped about halfway through, was a terrible film

Timothy Dalton: indeed, a great bond, the serious ruthless bond..........he was more acurate to the Novels then the other bond........

moore: great bond!! he SAVED the bond franchaise with TSWLM!!! TSWLM is considered the 2nd best bond film, next to only goldfinger..................octo was also one of the biggest bonds ever!!!

as you see in my sig., I am very dissapointed with the US Die Another Day DVD....on another thread kumba tried to begin an OT disscussion, so It will take place here

this is the place to discuss the DAD DVD

now then, why didn't I like the US DAD DVD???

well, the US version stunk compared to the UK version

one of the things I looked forwards to the most are not on the US Version.........Cut scenes :(

Die Another Day:

This one was a very good entry, besides TND, this is my second favorite. Unlike TWINE, his previous outing, which had very dull action scenes(besides the boat chase, which was a highlight), this one ups the action to thrilling effect. The hovercraft chase was nicely done, the car chase was another nicely executed chase scene, although it does get a little too much on the pyro technics, it was very fast and thrilling.

I enjoyed the updated homage to Goldfinger, where lasers are threatening Halle Barry and Bond tries frantically to rescue her. The swordplay between Bond and the British millionair(forget his name), kept esculating to even more wicked action as an upgrade of weapons kept being applied to the fray. Speaking of swordplay, the climatic sword fight between Halle and the female villian had a great touch.

BTW, wasn't Barry supposed to get her own spin off movie, whatever happened to that?

TWINE was brosnans best

for some reason, everyone thinks bond should only be all action, no emotion for bond

no, the real bond has alot of emotion, charactor developement, drama....the real bond...the novel bond....bond's roots

TWINE was a great bloody film, good drama, lotsa characttor, nice title, to tie it into OHMSS, and there were GREAT action scenes

jumping out of a 3 story window
the boat chase
jumping from the exploding baloon
the sky chase
the stealing of the bomb, jumping and stuff

blah blah blah

In my opinion: brosnan's best

yes, even better then goldeneye (goldeneye had a terrible score too)

TWINE-Of course, TWINE was great, I consider it a awesome Brosnan outing, however, I don't consider it my fav. That goes to TND for its sheer entertainment value.

TND-Who wouldn't like to control their own car from the backseat? I also think TND mixes in the Bond theme quite well.

GoldenEye-I agree, and I believe it is Brosnan's best, and I'll second that, the music does lose the 00 flavour.

Back to TWINE-However, I enjoy TWINE's precredits song the most, I believe it was Garbage(no pun).;)

Brosnan is my least favourate Bond. His films are all over the top and have boring storys. Sir Sean's films are the best up until YOLT. I wihs they had of kept Bond in the 50/60's era. He just looks out of place now.

Here is my Bond order

1. Sir Sean Connery
2. Roger Moore
3. George Lazenby
4. Timmothy Dalton
5. Pierce Brosnan

and heres my fav films

1. Dr No
2. Goldfinger
3. Thunderball
4. Live and Let Die
5. Octo*****

and heres my fav Bond birds

1. Solitare
2. Honey Ryder
3. Domino
4. Jill Masterson
5. Xenia Onatop

wot is every1 elses fav bond, films and birds?

yes, indeed, garbage did preform the song

as for TND:

not a bad movie.....but the theme song RUINED IT

terrible theme song.....bloody slow-mo junk: what ruined both TND and DAD

both had good stories, great scores and smashing action scene...but the theme songs and slow-mo threw the films off corse....

YOU'VE GATTA BE KIDDING ME!!!!!

"Surrender" was swell, but Sherly Crow's (SP????) song was terrible

Yes, the Goldfinger theme is problably the best.

Another one I like is the Live and Let Die song, by Paul McCarthy. But I hate the Beatles...
