I'm new here.....Hello, everyone.

Since I was dragged by a friend to see Raiders back in '81, I've been a huge fan. The commercials actually gave me a different impression than what I was to see on the screen. Finally, I got the courage to join here and find a outlet for my years of Indy-mania. Just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone.

Hey, Silent Rob. Thanks for sharing your early Indy experiences.

In 1980, I started buying that great, sci-fi magazine, "Starlog". Now and then they
would print small blurbs about "Raiders" being made but all they ever showed was
the now-famous logo. The special edition of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"
had recently been released so how I pictured the film was directly linked to that.
Initially, I envisioned a group of futuristic inhabitants of an enormous, sea vessel
(the ark) half-buried in the desert being "raided" by wild bands of barbarians
on horseback. How wrong was I?

My friend's brother came home after opening night and told us that the movie
had "everything in it...cowboys, Nazis, whips...". We went the following night
and then...well...here I am.

Welcome to The Raven, Silent Rob!
