Indiana Jones and the Lost Letters
We’ve all heard theories about the feasibility of a reboot for the Indiana Jones franchise, but it obviously can’t just be a straight remake of the existing films. There has to be something new, a different take on what we’re already familiar with. I’ve discovered that for many characters, simply removing one letter from their name introduces an entirely new aspect to their character. Here’s an example:
We all know that if adventure has a name, it must be… Indiana Jones. But by removing one letter we see that if Native American adventure has a name, it must be… Indian Jones.
Here are some more to try:
He’s the best digger in Egypt, and worshipped throughout the Middle East.
Indy eventually married this plumber/gorilla fighter.
Indy’s nemesis has a friend named Stimpson J. Cat.
In addition to being a museum curator, he’s also a former pro-wrestler and former governor.
He’s Indy’s boyhood friend, and his secret identity is Prince Adam.
After the war, he was Indy’s friend and maternal figure.
This smuggler fights with a Japanese sword.
He’s a Gestapo agent, and he’s just learning to walk.
If you can think of any more, feel free to add on. (And I would love to see some pictures of these reboot characters. If I had any photoshop skills I'd make some.)
