Not bad, although you're missing the Old Indy bookends and some of the theme park and foreign stuff...I can send you my timeline, if you like.

Also, the Young Indiana Jones TV show poses a major timeline problem in that the dates of some episodes have been changed, and previously unrelated episodes joined together with new footage. Frequently, the bridges actually take Indy directly from one episode into another. So, for example, this sequence of events:

-Morocco, 1917
1918
-Istanbul, January 1918
-Northern Italy, June 1918
-Transylvania, September 1918

is now incorrect. Unfortunately, even though the sequence of these events in Indy's life has been radically changed by the new movies, none of the official timelines have been changed to reflect this. So we're left to do it ourselves, and hope that somebody official fixes the timeline eventually. We have to ignore, then, several of the episode titles. You might list the Indy episodes together with the new movie versions like this:

-Tales of Innocence
--Northern Italy, June 1918
--Morocco, 1917
1918
-Masks of Evil
--Istanbul, January 1918
--Transylvania, September 1918

I realize the new versions of Young Indy are quite controversial. (OMG, Corey Carrier is a teenager--no, wait, he's nine--no, he's a teenager again...) But I think it's best to accept the movies over the original episodes for these reasons:

#1: The new footage, whatever its quality, is probably the closest we'll ever come to new Young Indy episodes.

#2: With the DVDs now fully released, this is probably the version most people will be seeing from now on.

#3: Many of the episodes were presented as movies to begin with, without distinct episode titles or individual bookend sequences.

#4: A few of the "episodes" were never fully realized outside of the DVD release.

#5: Even if one prefers the original presentation of the material, any contradictions between the two versions can be explained as ninety-three year old Indy's memory starting to go. You can still watch the originals while taking into account the new versions for timelining purposes--we can have our cake and eat it too.

The DK Guide has a pretty good timeline up to 1957.

Where does Ancient City in the Lego game fit? :p

Also 'Lost Horizons' hasn't technically happened. I'm confused as to whether you were going by licenced and released stuff or everything including deleted, unreleased and unlicenced stuff, which then becomes a pain in the a$$. I try to think too much about the timeline. Too many headaches.

I am using the movies over the episodes so thats why I included only the MotB bookends because it was the only bookend not cut in the DVD sets. I didn't want to include the theme parks because they don't really add anything into the story but I'll see if I add them. About the foreign books, I promised myself I'd add them if somebody inquired them so I guess I'll be adding them soon.

Also, thank you for clarifying the chronology of those episodes.

No problem!

As far as the theme park stuff goes, Temple of the Forbidden Eye has a pretty detailed storyline and was mentioned in the new Ultimate Guide. The new Secret of the Stone Tiger show is kinda lame, but it does serve as a lead-in to the events of the Forbidden Eye ride. Forbidden Eye is set in 1936, after Temple of Doom but before Raiders.

I don't think any of the other Indy attractions have been dated...

The Ultimate Guide missed a couple of things. Forbidden Eye is set before and after Temple Of Doom.

I tried explaining its place in the timeline here:

http://raven.theraider.net/showthread.php?t=14568

Stone Tiger falls immediately before Forbidden Eye... It somewhat sets up Indy finding part of the map to the Temple.

The other 2 attractions cannot be dated accurately as their storylines were not as detailed by show elements as Imagineering did with Temple of the Forbidden Eye

Good point! If I understand it correctly, though, the part where the ride actually takes place--the events that guests actually experience, not the backstory--takes place after Temple? But Stone Tiger takes place before even the backstory?

What events and/or dates are covered in the newsreels from the Forbidden Eye ride? I've seen links to the telegrams and letters in this thread but nothing about the reels.

So, Temple of Peril and the Crystal Skull rids don't have any details about dates?

Any more in on the Stone Tiger?

Could I get a copy of that, please?

Are they actually missing or did the Guide retcon it to take place after?
