What adventure did Indiana go on in 1937?

1935- Temple of Doom
1935- Temple of the Forbidden Eye (Disneyland)
1936- Raiders of the Lost Ark
1937- ???
1938- The last Crusade

Something huge had to happen in 1937. But what?

And for that matter, what happened in all the year between Crusade and Kingdom?

Well, after the events of Temple and Raiders, I think the man was certainly entitled to take a year off.:)

I would say that maybe nothing happened in 1937. Maybe that was a dull year for Dr. Jones? ... Are any books set in that time period... or games? When is Emperor's Tomb?

1937 - Indiana Jones and the Hunt for a Soda

His big adventure was to hunt for a soothing soda to sit back and relax in his jacussi. Afterall, CB27 has it right... after Raiders and especially Temple the man has his rights to sit back and relaxe before he dives into the Holy Grail crusade! :p

But who knows... maybe the hunt for the Cross of Coronado took longer than what we saw and in 1937 was Indiana Jones and the Cross of Coronado :whip:

"Emperor's Tomb" is set in 1935, right before the happening of "Temple of Doom"

He spent the year in bed with Marion, hence Mutt !

Maybe that's true. Maybe they were together for that year and in 1937 he conceived Mutt (if that rumor is true) and they for whatever reason, split apart again.

I believe the comics support that theory. :p He had to stay awake at some point! I bet there'll be some kind of love scene in KOTCS ala Raiders, and Indy falls asleep, and Marion's like, "With you falling asleep all the time, I wonder how the hell did we conceive Mutt?"

Seriously... Marion's in the comics and well, Raiders is kinda late '36 so I would assume that their adventures together were more in '37 coz you never seen Christmas '36. Actually, how does Indy spend Christmas? I mean, all that time, not talking to his Dad. With Brody? With Sallah and his tribe of kids?

Probably alone.

So why inst "Temple of the Forbidden Eye" part of Indy's timeline? Even though its a Disneyland ride, it just as much happened to Indy as the video games did (and they are in his timeline)???

I'd like to think that Indy had some sort of hidden adventure in '37.

I never got the impression that he NEVER saw his dad. Just because they didn't get along doesn't mean they didn't see each other on holidays. And even if that were true, I would think he'd spend it with Marcus or something for a little get-together and then mostly alone.

Come on, somebody's gotta give Indy a present. The thought is kinda depressing. I never really thought about it but who is Indy ever really close to at all in any of the films? He's with the girl for a small bit but that's it, then he's just a teacher who seems to hang around Marcus mostly.

Probably other colleagues of his too.

Maybe he spent Christmas with Short Round one year. I dunno, lol.

"I'm very little... you get me present very big!!"

I think it's pretty obvious that at least Henry Sr held his son in very high esteem, though he wasn't showing it. Judging by his character however, I kind of doubt if he was one to celebrate Christmas in the first place.

Now there's a line that sounds like it came from a porn movie.

I don't know, but I like this theory (although I personally think he had his share of adventure in 1937-- C'mon, it's Indy.)

I think he spent it with his father. After all, he didn't have trouble finding his father's house in LC.;)

I wouldn't say that. He seemed like a Christian in RotLA and LC. And we know his father was:
Indy: "Two selfless martyrs... Jesus Christ."
Smack!
Sean: "That's for blasphemy..."

It's Christmas!! Even Indy would celebrate it with somebody. I just don't think he would make that big of a deal out of it. It's kind of sad though, that his dad is really all the family he has ever really had.
