That explosion was pretty cool. I'm getting good vibes from this film, I think it's going to be really good.

Those of you lucky enough to have seen The Dark Knight on Imax screens this summer know that Christopher Nolan shot the film's six big action scenes in full Imax for maximum mindblowing impact. Well, Hollywood's never one to let a good idea die, so it looks like Michael Bay, Jon Favreau and DJ Caruso may follow suit on (respectively) Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Iron Man 2 and Y: The Last Man.

The plan is that Bay will film "at least three action setpieces" in the format, with work on Transformers 2 well underway already.

As an original Transformer fan, these Michael Bay movies have almost nothing whatsoever in common with the classic material. It's like something is stomping on the American Flag right in front of me, with every new image I see. :(
