It's one of the only red wines that's supposed to be served fresh, it's an elegant wine, usually very much appreciated by women, and it's affordable. Now don't go thinking I'm a wine specialist, this is just what my dad has taught me.
Usually red wine goes with red meat. White wine goes with fish and pink wine (rosé) goes with anything but it's more of a summer wine.

Luckylighter said:You know who has better Chai Tea lattes than Starbucks? The cafe at Borders Books and Music. Having worked for both places, I know from experience. The Borders Chai is creamier and has more flavor than the Starbucks.
Although Starbucks does have the best Caramel Macchiatos. You know, I won a taste test. I make the greates Caramel Macchiatos ever. Well, at least I did when I was still a coffee jockey.

Specialty drink: The ?Indiana Jones?
½ shot Whisky
½ shot Tequila
1 shot Champagne
(Optional: One drop each: blood, sweat, tear )
Add the whisky and tequila together and double-up with champagne or sparkling wine. Place your hand or a beer mat over the glass, slam it down onto table and then down it in one. Serve in highball glass.
(This is my own suggestion: Stir with a stick of dynamite. For fun, light the dynamite and toss it out the window at the nearest car.)

Horsey, I'm not sure if you can get it in Cali, but from one beer connoisseur to another... it just might be worth a trip to Colorado.
