I wouldn't mind Mutt in 5, but in a lesser role. More side-kicky than actual hero...let Indy have the light again with whip and gun in hand.

Mutt can do some adventurous things thing how Shorty came to the rescue in Temple...and really thats about it. I would love to see Marion again, but I don't know if a story could accommodate her character again, especially if they have Sallah or Shorty in it...

I don?t want to see Mutt or Marion in Indy 5, but I?m sure Mutt will be there with a larger roll and maybe even a ?passing of the hat? scene.

I would like to see Mutt go back to school in England with Marion and Indy have on last adventure by himself. I would like to see, and I?ve said this on other post, Indy in Cuba trying to rescue some of his artifacts from the new communist regime and while doing so, he runs into a grown up Short Round who is running a casino in Havana where Willie Scott is the headlining singer. I like to think that Willie took Shorty in after TOD and they took care of one another. I?d like to see Indy trying to get his artifacts and Shorty and Willie out of the country, but this time Willie actually help the effort and is no longer the spoiled girl she was in TOD. Cuba fits the time line and 1960ish Havana would make a great backdrop for an Indy film.

Once Mutt has gone back to school and graduated, maybe even served in the armed forces for a tour or two in Vietnam, then he will be ready to take over for Indy in Indy 6 when Harrison is for lack of a better tern, over the hill. Right now, Mutt is not ready to take the HAT! :whip:

Maybe near the end of the film Mutt shows up after war maybe. Then near the middle of the film have Marion solving a riddle for Indy. The guy who's Shortround looks very diffrent I must say.

I think a good casting choice for a grown up Short Round would be that guy form the Iron Chef who is on Dancing with the Stars. (y)

Here's a crazy and wacky idea.
Why not have the guy who played Short Round, play Short Round again?

Yeah. I mean, I'm not in favor of having him back at all, but I don't understand those who think he somehow looks drastically different than he formerly did.

Is that guy still around?
Does he still act?
Is he in shape for and adveture?

The guy from the Iron Chef can say yes to all of these questions, and he can kick butt!

Plus he looks like Shorty all grown up!

Here's Jonathan Ke Quan, in 2001, looking, as he always did, like himself.

Honestly? I don't think he should look like anything; that is, I don't think he should appear.

But I think it's reasonable to think that Short Round will age into somebody who looks like the actor did when he was younger, and not some random Asian actor who doesn't even look Chinese. Probably Filipino, or something else in a Southeastern direction.

Cooler then Indy?????
I liked Shorty and wished I could have seen more of him in his younger days. I loved the Indy father figure! Its too late now though and I think we are stuck with the teenaged son, lets just hope Lucas makes the best with what he has made. I wish Mutt could have been a bit younger though. Oh well.

That would have been a great idea sgttom! What about if Mutt had been at least 15 in Indiana Jones and being Indy's side kick at such a young age, and Indy could have shone him how to fight villians. BUT Mutt did not realize Indy was his father until near the end of the movie. Maybe Mutt should have been in Last Crusade maybe?

(What do you guys think?)

Well I don't like renting because you don't get to keep the movie, I like buying better. I'm not getting into why my parents don't take us to Theathers, because some one will start ranting off, yes my brother is 20.
It would be highly recommended for you to go outside, walk/bike/take a bus to the video store, rent "Doom" and "Skull" and actually watch them both from beginning to end. Without doing this, it's difficult for your opnions to be taken seriously.

Also, why did you NOT include "Neither Mutt nor Marion" in the poll?
