Well in the spirit of the season I thought I'd bring this gem out into daylight again.
T'was the only other year that both
Indiana Jones and Batman had both been on the big screen at the same time
since '89.

Indiana Joker
(Stoo is probably having heart palpitations. :dead: )

I don't know what's going on this year for my Halloween,
but I am considering doing something along the lines of Beetlejuice as Jones...
which is almost practically the same as above...
then getting liquored up and bio-excorcizing the living.

That is a riot. Stoo, old buddy, stay away!

Here is my get-up from last night's costume party hosted by a friend of mine:

Here's mine for this year...

Finally got a real Wested to go with my David Morgan whip...

Also, please forgive the 'poofy' hair in the above pic - got a haircut this weekend and have been letting the 5 o'clock shadow grow out - will trim the beard and mustache back to match for proper stubble.

Who's next?

@LZeitgeist

Looks excellent. Much more authentic than mine, which is a truly shameless mish-mash of articles of clothing that approximate the look, and a cheap costume-store whip.

Very good, Kong. I have to say, you do resemble River a bit from some angles.

I consider that a heckuva compliment. Thank you. I was trying to emulate one of the publicity shots during KOTCS' build-up, but I can't seem to find it now.

I showed you mine, now show me yours! ;)

I lost 10kg in recent times - the ol' zero carb diet works like a charm. But I will have to see how baggy everything is on me. Even the hat feels a bit looser! :hat:

I've been threatening for years to show off Aussie Indy (funny, he looks like every other country's Indy). I will get around to it soon. :gun:

And LZeitgeist, good gear. You just gotta dirty it up a bit. If you want, that is. :whip:

Your gear looks great guys! Makes me want to go home all that much earlier to put on mine.:(

And LZ, at least you HAVE hair...how many bald Indy's are there? I'm sure I won't be the first but well see how it pans out...might have to try an indy wig :hat:

Thanks!

The jacket's only a month old, but the dark dye is already rubbing off a bit from the most-rubbed edges (cuffs, edge of collar on left side where my seat belt rides, etc.) - I'm thinking by this time next year, it's going to be looking pretty darn awesome, weathering-wise. Slow and natural - I've got an old Disney/Cooper that's beat all to heck, and I don't have any plans for having this one end up the same way... ;)

If I muscle up I resemble the German mechanic more than Indy. :D My hair started to fall out when I was 24. I usually shave my head of its remaining now greying fur. I'd love to have my hair back, though, not just for vanity's sake, but there is a huge practicality to having hair - shade from the sun and warmth in the winter!

Sorry about digressing from Halloween. I don't really celebrate it. More Australians are taking to it though.

I've been going bald since about the same age(22 actually) and I've been shaving it clean for about 9 years now which could make costuming easier and harder at the same time(just change out toupees instead of hair cuts) - and just like that we're back to Halloween ;) !

I don't celebrate Valentine's Day, and I have no shame. :p

i'm bald also and grow my hair out for halloween and conventions , then wear my fedora over it .

There is that option. But I'm so used to being clean shaven that it feels dirty to have any hair. Swimming with a clean shaved head makes you feel as smooth as a porpoise. You just glide through the water. At least that's what it feels like. :hat:

I've always thought action heroes look cooler with stubble. It suggests a type of ruggedness, a disregard for neat and suave looks, a person who is constantly on the move.

So, what's your take on Bond, James Bond?

I'm not saying there aren't exceptions. It makes sense for his character, since he's more sophisticated. I meant I personally think the more rugged you look, the more intimidating you look. But again, there's exceptions for everything.

I saw a guy who had the ****TIEST Indy costume at a halloween party on Friday I wanted to punch him in the face just on principle.

A DENIM button down shirt?

Ugh.

Flogging would have been a more appropriate punishment.

While I was dropping my son (Halo Grunt) off at school today there was a twee Indy. Terrible costume but I still gave him a shout-out.

Me, I went as one of Indy's contemporaries:

Cosplay is serious business, indeed...:p

props. 10characters

Minus 1 style point for the water bottle in the foreground.

But seriously -- nice costume. I was in Toronto so the only dress-up I did was donning a poppy.
