I got lucky with mine and got a fairly tight one, with nothing broken.

I have a two word review:

HOLY #$@%!!!

This thing ROCKS, well worth the wait...bring on the ToD and Last Crusade Indys!!! :whip:

My Exclusive Edition is currently somewhere over/on the Atlantic, en-route to the Sideshow European Warehouse. I can only hope it comes via Cairo and Venice :) Very envious of the guys who already have this in hand. One question though - anyone considering making some custom pieces to accompany this figure ?

So I finally got around to opening the package of my exclusive Indy, and I gotta say I'm really pleased with the job that Sideshow did! The detail they put into this figure is incredible! Everything from the stubble on his face, to the gloved hands, his MkVII bag, and the dirt on his Aldens has been carefully researched and executed! So far my only issue is the head is a little wobbly, and the magnetic latch to hang his whip from is a little loose. Other then that I can't complain, and I can't wait to see what they come up with next after Toht!!(y)

Billy Ray---awesome pictures man. Do you have the 12'' German Soldier from Hasbro? If so, you should re-enact this photo:

It would look awesome!

I don't have the Hasbro German soldier, so I used one of my son's GI-Joes for a stand in. Didn't get the pose exactly perfect as I didn't have the pic from the movie in front of me, but here you go:

Also, I promised my 6 yr old that I would share this pic that she took with you guys as well;) :

If you guys truly want to see what this figure looks like in-hand, then take a look at these shots. This fella, Maulfan, takes the best photos of Sideshow figures that I have ever seen. He always seems able to capture them perfectly. He has true talent that guy. This is what Sideshow's Indy looks like in real life, I swear!

The figure is fantastic -- amazing detail, and extras - like the various guns, whips, hands, idol, pouch and even sand bag -- but the best thing is you can pretend too be the guys from Robot Chicken and make your own Indy comics! Here is one every Star wars and Indy fan has always wondered about... kind of like Rambo meets Rocky...

Hope you get a kick out of it -- now I have to get back to real work and stop playing with my.. dolls.. I mean collectibles!

I got the Sideshow 12" Indy yesterday (non-exclusive). Great figure! I have wanted a good 12" IJ figure since the mid-1990's, and couldn't afford the Toys McCoy figure that came out circa 1999/2000.
Anyway, it was a very long wait for this SS figure, since this was supposed to ship over the summer. However, overall, I was pleased.

The positives:

- Great likeness of H. Ford. The face sculpt was near-perfect, right down to the scar on his chin.

- The jacket was fantastic - very good quality.

- I liked the scuff mark detail on one of the boots/shoes - this looked very realistic, and went along with the battered appearance of the character.

- I liked the gloved hands - very good detail. These are very similiar to the gloved hands on the 12" SS Endor Rebel Troopers (SW).

- All of the accessories were excellent - The gold idol, coiled and un-coiled whips, bag of sand, shoulder satchel, etc. Very, very cool.

The negatives:

- Going along with what others have said, the body was loose - I noticed this especially in the legs and feet. This may have had something to do with the fact that the figure was packaged with the stand on the bottom (near the legs) which may have unintentionally stretched out the legs - this is just speculation on my part, however.

- The figure's white shirt was slightly torn, but I could overlook this since it goes along with the rough, beat-up appearance of the character.

- There was a purple spot on the left side of the face of the head with the hat. This spot was ingrained into the plastic, and wasn't something that I could just brush off or wash off.

- The brown paint used for the hair slightly slopped over onto the right ear.

However, these are all minor quibbles and aren't bad enough for me to want to send the figure back. Also, I'm worried that if I do, the replacement they send might be worse.

When you say his shirt is torn, can you describe how exactly? I know that there is a kind of "flap" inside the collar that a lot of people were mistaking as a tear or cut, but it seems that they all have come with it and it is intenional to make the collar lay flat. If you have an actual tear in the shirt though, Sideshow is pretty good about replacing things like that.

Hey, thanks for the question - the tear is actually about midway down the shirt, and isn't in the collar. I guess I could probably try to get it replaced, but am not sure it's worth the hassle. It doesn't look that bad, and if I pull the shirt closed it's hard to tell that it's there.

My wife wanted me to put my Indy up for now, since he clashed with our Christmas decorations...I found a work around though:

"No camels!"

I picked this up for my son when I was in the middle east last year. It's pretty funny. It plays some sort of Arabian music and it's eye light up a creepy red! Not sure why my wife considers it a Christmas decoration though.

Well, with this figure squarly in hand, It is EXACTLY as I thought it would be.

The sculpting is great and they were able to use cheaper materials which kept this figure's cost very low. The articulation is great.

However, the loose body is a concern. The paint apps once again messed up a PERFECT Sculpt of Harrison. Just like many James Bond and SW figures from SS. The paint job on the faces just look a tad off. The likeness is still there but nothing like the early hand painted examples of the face sculpt.

It is the best low priced Indy figure that has been made and does everything that it is supposed to do. It is far better than any custom figure out there.

Now if all of the others will get here so I can beef up the display.
