Unreleased PAL N64 Infernal Machine sells for 710$

here's the story...
Recently a prototype Nintendo 64 cartridge containing the PAL version of Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine made its way onto eBay, selling for a massive $710. Luckily enough for us though, the new owner of this cartridge was kind enough to reach out to one of the Nintendo 64 scene groups with the aim of sharing this long lost PAL release with the community.

Although the PAL version may not offer too many differences from its US counterpart, it's nice to know that yet another piece of unpreserved gaming history has been archived.

The North American version was a Blockbuster and LucasArts.com exclusive, which made it maddeningly rare even in the one territory it was actually published. It's doubly frustrating because the port contains a number of enhancements.

My understanding about the PAL release is that it was the victim of a publisher transfer (from EA to THQ) and fell between the cracks.
