Around the world in 2011

I've taken the year 2011 off to travel, starting january the second! I've been an Indy fan for some time now, and even though I won't be wearing the fedora on my head (don't have one, and not really practical to carry around anyway), I'll definitely be bearing it in my heart.

So here is my itinerary, which is subject to changes:

North of India (5 weeks)
Nepal (3 weeks)
Hong Kong (1 week)
North of Thailand (3 weeks)
Burma (4 weeks)
South of Thailand (2 weeks)
East of Australia (6 weeks)
South America: from Buenos Aires to Lima (18 weeks)
Guatemala (4 weeks)
Yucatan (2 weeks)

This is somewhat of a childhood dream, I was planning on doing it earlier but there is always so many reasons not to leave! I took the final decision in August and I am getting more and more excited to set sail in barely one month! :whip:

I did something like that in the early 1980's when I was 30 years old.
Spent 5 months in South America, 2 months in India, 3 months in
Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, other trips to Egypt, Israel, etc.

Have a nice trip!

:)

What are you going to do in these places, just chill?

Traveling is a full time job: finding where to sleep, were to eat, getting around, randomly meeting people, visiting, taking the time to live... Other than that there are many activities (also depending on your budget): trekking in Nepal or Peru, diving in Thailand, surfing in Australia, Mountain biking in Bolivia, getting lost in Mayan temples, the list is endless!
