Yeah man i love the friday the 13th series and Shelly was the man! always playing jokes on people till jason played one on him

part 3 was great but part 4 was my favorite with little tommy jarvis
Yeah it's a real toss up for me which is better, part 3 or 4! Those were by far the scariest versions of Jason in my opinion. He had a frenzied, fast moving, just all around pyscho vibe about him in those two, which gradually changed once he became zombie Jason.

Each episode of Ft13th: The Series dealt with supernatural artifacts, and it's been rumored that one of the episodes was going to involve Jason's hockey mask.

I did, and I was a big fan of the episode with the scarecrow that came alive at night out in the fields and went on a killing spree! That creeped me out as a kid! That and the monkey with the cymballs! LOL

Adamwankenobi, that would've made a cool episode! Too bad the show didn't last.

You know I don't really remember the Nightmare TV series that well, I do recall Monsters and Tales from the Darkside though. Those were two of my favorite shows!

This I just had to post! The narrator is hysterical, and he says Friday the 13th: Part 3 IN 3D so many times!!LOL
It's like the Don't trailer that was with Grindhouse.

.....but Jason's creepiness factor jumped exponentially when the mask was introduced.

Which was probably helped by the fact that Jason gained like a foot in height and around 80 lbs of muscle between the few hours connecting Parts 2 and 3 together.

Continuity be screwed! :D

Sackhead Jason was very creepy, but I'm just partial to the mask! That pic I posted earlier of Jason with his burlap reminds me of Scarecrow from Batman Begins!LOL

I always liked Jason because they gave him zero personalityy, while I didn't like Nightmare on Elm street because they made Freddy with to much. I hope they don't let Jason talk or try to develop his personality, because he is perfect, a silent killing machine.

I'm with you! Freddy was great in part 1, but they went too far overboard with his humor and one liners. He became too cartoony for this very reason. I've always preferred the silent killers myself, Michael Myers being #1 followed by Jason!

I don't think they'll try to infuse some new personality into him for this reboot, if anything he'll just be more firghtening and brutal, sort of like Leatherface in the 2003 TCM remake.

I agree and hope. I hope they go easy on the gore. I am a fan of the first Saw and other "gore porn" movies. for the the beauty of rewatching the F13th movies (at least the first 4) is the lack of cheesy gore.

Friday The 13th was a classic shocker. The ending haunted me for years and kept me away from women wearing white sweaters.

She's still as scary as ever, and rocking the white sweater!

Eh, I always liked Freddy's humor. I mean, it's never actually funny but it reminds me of the old Tales From The Crypt comics and TV show. Still, the only NoES (lol) films worth watching are the first three.

Or he could end up like Micheal Myers in the remake. :(

Aw, she looks so good for her age. When is that from?

I think the Friday 13 Remake is gonna suck cause its not gonna be Jason's mom as the killer its gonna be him, the original was so damn scary the way she pulled it off.

I agree the first three are the best!! I'd definitely rank The Dream Warriors right after the first film!

Yes, she looks good for her age, but she still scares me!!

Dream Warriors is probably my favorite, though Freddy's Revenge has a special place in my heart for having a male lead (not to mention a healthly slathering of homoerotic subtext), something which is sadly rare in the genre.

Unnecessary exposition into Jason's childhood, like Zombie did for Myers. I don't want that. We don't need to know that; all we need to know is that he's there, he's got a machete, and you're about to die.

Part 2, I'd rank as my third favorite!

It's true, there's not a lot of gay characters or subtexts in most modern horror films, at least in the ones I've seen!

I agree! We got the Jason backstory in Freddy Vs. Jason, as well as bits and pieces in the others, and it was never handled great except for in the first one.

Too much explanation for these types of characters is not a good thing!(n)
