For me this is new. Is this true? Did John Williams already compose the theme of castle Brunwald in 1979 for the movie "Dracula" and was it reused for Indy 4 LC?

See and hear here:

Do you mean Indy III Last Cursade or Indy V Kingdom of the ....? It won't be uncommon at all that one composer will start to sound the same with so many scores out there.

Oh sorry, of course Indy 3 Last Crusade where Castle Brunwald was the Nazi hideout.
Meanwhile I saw the Soundtracklist on Amazon and there is no castle Brunwald track at the Dracula-Score, so it's obviously a faked fan made list.

Curiously enough, the riff/motif is the same.

Given the samples on http://www.soundtrack.net/albums/database/?id=870 it looks like the YouTube poster just slipped the LC track in.

A database like that is only as good as it's data. There could be multiple albums or pressings, as is the case for the aforementioned LC soundtrack which was released by Warner Bros. and Concord. Their tracks differ.

In fact it is on the Concord release (Disk 3) which has the track "Journey to Austria" that is indeed similar to the Brunwald track above. Note for note for an extended measure or three...

Though I suspect it has to do with a composers tendancy to "play what he knows" rather than truly innovate. Much like the members here have been known to do.
