Interesting Artifacts for Indy...
Here is a list of nine interesting artifacts that Indy could search for, all in alphabetical order with a brief explanation of the artifact and location ideas:
(Almost all of them are said to contain supernatural powers, which I've listed.)
1.
Athena's Aegis (Also known as the Shield of Protection)
Power: A gold shield that can keep it's wearer safe from any harm.
Possible Location: A temple of Athena, in Greece
2.
Excalibur (Also known as Caliburn), the Sword of King Arthur
Power: Made it's wielder unbeatable in battle, but only if righteous.
Possible Location: A watery cave by a lake, in England
3.
Mjolnir, the Hammer of Thor (Also known as the Hammer of Thunder)
Power: Could call thunder and lightning down from the very heavens.
Possible Location: A ruined Viking fortress in a glacier, in Norway
4.
The Cauldron of Plenty (Also known as the Black Cauldron)
Power: Could produce food or bring the dead back to life as zombies.
Possible Location: Underground city of Tir Nan Og, in Ireland

The Emerald Tablet (Also known as the Philosopher's Stone)

Power: Alchemical ability, to transmute anything into a greater form.
Possible Location: A cave, somewhere in the Middle East

The Horn of Roland (Also known as the Horn of Fate)
Power: Brings about the end of one era, and the start of a new one.
Possible Location: Roland's hidden burial barrow, in France
7.
The Lance of Longinus (Also known as the Spear of Destiny)
Power: Makes the army who holds it unstoppable, grants immortality.
Possible Location: A ruined palace, somewhere in Rome
8.
The Sandals of Hermes (Also known as the Quicksilver Sandals)
Power: Can grant it's wearer the power to fly or travel vast distances.
Possible Location: A temple of Hermes, in Greece
9.
The Scroll of Seven Seals (Also known as the Scroll of Armageddon)
Power: Calls the seven disasters that can bring about the Apocalypse.
Possible Location: A Ruined City, near the Dead Sea
Note: Anything used in the Tomb Raider movies I have avoided listing, since for that reason alone they would fail to make a new Indy movie truly unique.
Therefore, Atlantis and Pandora's Box are out of the question since Lara Croft has already been there and done that on the big screen. Comments, anyone?
