Yup. I thought that the figure looked great, though not an offical type of any kind. The hat he came with looks terrible.

lol- Toys City kept putting the hat on him backwards in all the product photos. Even on the box art! He's a cool figure, but a fedora and a short 1970's-style leather coat do not a Gestapo agent make.

True. True...he also came with a tiny Nazi lapel pin that doesnt stick anywhere.

Oh well. He's got a suit. he's got the gun. And the whole doll was a helluva lot cheaper than what the original hand-painted headsculpts cost. Good enough for me:)

Arnie Kim is apparently locked away in a secret location rescuplting Indy. So the wait for new pictures and offical specs continues...

And it's for the best really. You shouldn't have to try to convince yourself it looks like Ford.

They whisked him away before proper pictures could be taken. In some shots he did look like Harry, and in some he didn't. Hopefully it will be for the best, as there's more likelihood the sculpt will be better than worse when it returns.

These pics surfaced today from a site called "Plastic Enemies" in China:

Not sure if this is the prototype figure that was shown at the Hot Toys show or the "tweaked" figure they are supposedly working on. I think he looks pretty awesome in some of the shots. A lot of complaining on the SS freaks about the hat and how it sits on his head. I'm sure that since it is removable that can be adjusted. A few little nitpicks, but I'm still digging it so far. I think the last pic pretty much says it all.

Apparently the "Milk" that appears in these images is a magazine from Hong Kong, so it would appear that these pics are legit.

It still looks like the prototype to me. In some shots I can see Harry. In the line-up shot with the SS, Medicom and Toys McCoy it looks nothing like Harry, and the hat does look funny not pushed right down.

The word on the Freaks street is that Arnie Kim is still working on the sculpt, so those photos were a mock up using the original head.

One of the things throwing the look off is the darkness of the eyes, which is down to the PERS - with more light on them they might look more like Harry's eyes.

In the last picture I was reminded more of Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes:

In the close up shot of his eyes, they look to be pretty spot on in color. The lighting is probably throwing the color off in the other shots. I see why people are complaing about the hat, but I think that is more the fault of the folks staging these shots than anything else. I think the hat looks 100% better than in the shots from the show, I think it just needs to be pushed farther down on the head. This being a prototype, maybe they don't want to mess up the paint, or maybe they are just trying to show more of the face...who knows. I remain very optomistic about this figure.

Looks too muscular in one of the pictures, and I still can't get over those BRAND NEW looking boots.

But it seems like nothing to worry about, as everything is probably being changed.

Montana Smith's comparison is nearly spot on sans stubble!!! He doesn't look perfect but HT is able to add so much life like detail that at least this Indy doesn't just look a doll. I love the texture of the skin and life like eyes. I mean SS is a great sculpt but the paint is terrible and the small body proportions make it look cartoony.

I will get this Indy. It's hands down the best figure yet.

Yes, Hot Toys know how to make a figure appear human, from the posture to the skin texture and eyes.

However, they don't always manage to make the figure appear as the intended human.

The official pictures have now been released, and it looks as though the proto sculpt hasn't been changed...

Interchangeable hairstyles, just like the Resident Evil Alice (Milla Jovovich) figure, only here it will no doubt provide access to the PERS controls.

The sculpt, however, is not impressively accurate. It doesn't scream Harrison Ford, in the way that Alice screams Milla, or the T1 T-800 screams Arnie. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to the photos being snapped at the show, but these are now the official studio shots.

It may be down to the intense expression, but I still can't help seeing Jeremy Brett!

Here's hoping that they improve the sculpt before he's due for release in the third quarter of this year.

It's so strange. In the close ups it looks more like Harrison, however, in wide shots it does not. It could definitely use some tweaking but the gear looks stunning. The bag strap buckle could be more square and the fedora colors need to be more brown but the quality is awesome. The whip is far superior to SS plastic bendy and I like the S&W revolver version they chose.

The interchangeable hair without fedora looks weird. It's a shame it can't be spot on like all the impressive Jokers they've done (though they kept improving that sculpt too).

That is the odd thing about this figure. I really want to see Harrison in the face, and sometimes it's there, and sometimes not.

These studio shots are very much like the show shots, in reference to the lighting and deep shadows. It could be we're still not getting a clear image, and that in hand he would look a much better prospect.

Some of the details are very impressive, but the jacket material looks a bit heavy, so it fails to hang naturally (whereas the Sideshow one was too thin and just stuck out awkwardly).

The body could do with being less bulky, especially the big body builder's neck (whereas the Sideshow one could have done with moire bulk).

It's almost as though Hot Toys took the Sideshow as their current benchmark, and over-compensated.

The disclaimer in the photos reads, "protoype shown, final product may be slightly different". At least this is a stab in the right direction.
