Daniel Craig will return November 8, 2019.

Christopher Nolan in talks to direct.

And if Craig returns I want it to be his swan song. Have Lea Seydoux and Christoph Waltz all return for his last go around.

Nolan would be an amazing choice, especially given that On Her Majesty's Secret Service is said to be his favorite Bond film, which happens to be one of my favorites as well. I felt that the Blofeld angle was rushed in SPECTRE and it would be great to see one final film where he and Bond really go up against each other. Let's see Bond take SPECTRE down and finish off Blofeld and then retire.

Putting Harrison Ford in the Solo movie makes sense because he's Han Solo, not sure why we need Harrison as Bond.

I'm with Pale Horse, it is a big unsettling. reminds me of one that put Timothy Dalton's face on Brosnan in Goldeneye, if you deep fake between 2 people who don't have the same body and face shape you just end up with something that looks like neither

All this tells me that Harrison Ford would make a terrible Daniel Craig.
From a more technical merit, it's decent, but looks overly filtered or sharp in places, which doesn't help with the already unsettling mismatch going on in frame.

Great movie. I read all the books recently, and the poison plant suicide island from You Only Live Twice stood out as the largest element yet unseen in the films. It even had Oompa Loompas, appropriate since Roald Dahl wrote that script. Give it and The Man with the Golden Gun a read if you're curious where Ian Fleming left Bond. I also recommend these British comic strip adaptations mostly published during his lifetime.

Where to next? I would love a reset aligning with the book chronology featuring Bond's unknown grandson, and cameos by George Lazenby, Britt Ekland (Mary Goodnight) and Mie Hama (Kissy Suzuki).

This movie was alright.

Casino Royale(2006) was far and way my favorite Bond film and it was the first time I truly became invested in this “franchise”. I got really excited where it was heading. Unfortunately none of the sequels quite lived up to Casino Royale, this included. It was much better than Quantum of Solace and Spectre, but I don’t think it was overall as good as Skyfall, let alone Casino Royale. There was some good action, but the overall conclusion for the characters still feels a bit iffy to me.

It was an ok ending, Daniel Craig was great with the role throughout and proved those initial “Blond Bond” critics wrong, unfortunately the right leading man isn’t enough when your scripts suffers.

I'm a big fan of Bond, specifically the Connery - Brosnan era. (Nothing against Craig personally, I just didn't like the reboot tonal change) And I have an extra soft spot for the Moore era specifically. IMO perfect balance of humor and thrill, even if it can get a bit silly sometimes.

I'm looking forward to catching this one once it's on DVD/Blu-ray. I have the rest of the Bond series, and with this being Craig's last film, even if it was absolute garbage, I'd still get it for completionist's sake. Honestly, I thought his video game adaptations were better, though. :p Had loads of fun playing those when they first came out.

I never understood those critics. Roger Moore was blonde, did 7 Bond films and nobody linked. Is it the eyes? Lol

Roger Moore had dark brown hair. And Bond in the books is described as having dark hair and piercing eyes. Craig's got the eyes down, but his shiny blonde hair is a little inaccurate. Especially since he wasn't allowed to dye his hair, because 'blonde' was intentional as part of the rebooting/new direction, which ticked off some long-time fans.

Understandable, too. I think many took it too far, but I prefer accuracy over inaccuracy any day in basically all regards & aspects. If something is popular, there's something right with the source material - and that should be respected. I mean, why not? It's part of what made it popular in the first place.

From Wikipedia:
At Daniel Craig's request, Phoebe Waller-Bridge provided a script polish in April 2019. Waller-Bridge was hired to revise dialogue, work on character development and add humour to the script. The character of Paloma was made more significant from originally being a simple contact; Purvis and Wade indicated that was probably written by Waller-Bridge at Fukunaga's request.
It wouldn't surprise if she polished the Indy 5 script too. Her character is probably going to talk fast like her Fleabag character, and Ford will have to keep up. I'm currently watching the BBC MI6 show Killing Eve, where she wrote half of season 1, it's also very good.
