Last Crusade Tank Scene Cosplay Manipulation

This was recently printed in this month’s IndyMag. Thought you all would appreciate seeing the full gallery with behind the scenes looks at how it was created. Based on art by Tsuneo Sanda!

(Not sure how well this embed works. You’ll probably need to click through).

At long last, post 500! Just hanging around, as you do! This is a re-creation of a painting by Lucasfilm artist, Tsuneo Sanda @tsuneosanda. I have long loved his painting, and thought it would be fun to re-create. Scroll through the photos to compare to the original, and to see the process I went through to create this. Thanks to my father for helping rig the little green screen contraption I thought up. That is a 3 inch piece of PVC pipe wrapped in a Dollar Tree plastic tablecloth. The tank is a toy replica from Disneyland shot with a macro lens. These two plates were of course composited in Photoshop— many long hours of incessant tweaking. Made one final adjustment just minutes ago! Thanks to @recklessmango for taking the photos of me. She is far too patient with my pickiness! And of course I went ahead and had this printed on my cosplay contact cards. Thanks to everyone who has followed this account over the last couple years. Expect many more exciting adventures ahead! #indianajones #indianajonesandthelastcrusade #lastcrusade #indygear #cosplay #cosplayer #costume #photoshop #art #painting #photomanipulation #500 #500thpost #tank #wwii #ww2 #worldwartwo #action #adventure #archaeology #holygrail #tsuneosanda #artwork #lucasfilm #photography
