Why? Because it wasn't in Raiders? and the house isn't canon coz we know Indy's still at Marshall College ergo he would be at the same house! Miscontinuity!

I know things are all in good fun in this thread, but...I'd reckon it's more likely to be "once again at Marshall College" rather than "still at Marshall College."
Also, he's got to be senior faculty now. Even if he was liked and brought in students and what not back in the day, he surely wasn't a model teaching professor. That's changed, hopefully, and he's settled down to a certain degree I'd thing that a bigger, nicer house would befit his stature.

I know he's referred to as "Dr. Jones" rather than "Professor Jones" in the original trilogy, but he does mention that he's a Professor to the chief village elder in Temple of Doom, and I think the larger government agent in Raiders says he's a Professor as well. That would make him senior faculty.

When you say he's not a good teacher, do you mean that because he has a tendency to drop his lecture duties and go off on adventures at the drop of a hat? Thats true. Although he does seem like a good teacher when he's actually teaching, and not brawling with bald German mechanics.

I don't mean in terms of whether he's fully tenured or anything along those lines - I'm using senior in a less technical sense to suggest age, maturity, and good standing as an academic. But, your point is well taken.

I see what you mean.

Although its probable he's more senior, technically speaking, than he was in the originals. Perhaps he's director of the museum now or a senior board member or something.

Listen up Ladies, this is a serious thread here, not a flirt-bazaar! You have to diss Flannery at least once to be entitled of posting in this thread!

I like the idea of this thread.

There is only ONE Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford.

"Young Indiana Jones Chronicles"?
Why bother? Aren't the three films good enough?

Shia Lebouf? American poster boy?
What could he possibly bring to a Indiana Jones film?
Why didn't they bring Jonathan Ke Quan back?

No, I did appreciate the humorous nature of the thread.
But I still felt inclined to share my thoughts.

Just imagine if TOD was made nowadays and we had seen promo pics of Short Round,People would be up in arms just as much.I'll admit..I was unsure of Lebouf at first but he has grown on me.As for what he can bring? You could ask the same about Winstone or Blanchett,We'll see on May 22.

To me, a true Indy fan is a fan who has never been unfaithful to Indy and cheated on him by watching The Mummy films or Sahara etc... I for one would never go behind Indy's back and watch these movies. I can proudly say that I have been true to Indy and never strayed into another adventurers personal life.

In order to be a TRUE fan, you have to have a personal vendetta against the show. Many are called, but few are chosen.
