Additionaly, you can find pics at this wbsite: MoviepictureDB.
Unfortunately, you have to pay to download the pictures but at least they are in high resolution, most of them.

There's a lot of strange love in that picture! Like they have plans for their star actor. (Could be the prologue to that South Park episode...)

Guys you make me laugh.:D

Yuck. The shot above Ford and the beards ("OK, Harrison,we're gonna do one quick take that won't be included with any deleted scenes years from now.." skeevs me out worse. Spielberg looks like he's having his lifelong wish granted..and he looks kind of .. thick in the pants for it. Harrison, however,is merely thinking of ways to spend his "extra" check.

Haha! The longer you stare at George the more his smile seems to fade whilst the violence in his eyes grows. And his hold on Harrison gets tighter...

And Citizen Kane, I have never seen that pic of Harrison & Kate in full colour, so that's a fantastic find! And I'm loving all of those behind-the-scenes effects shots too!

Yeah thanks, I think it's great too. I recently "unearthed" my Indy collection (which is quite extensive I might say :D), and besides action figures and the strangest collectibles, I have a lot of magazines and flyers from the eighties.

So when I was just digging through my collection I thought of this thread and started scanning all the magazines I have (that I believe to be rare) for rare pics. The color pic of Harrison and Kate is in a 1984 Life magazine. And there are quite a lot of rare pictures in Japanese flyers, and in magazine specials on the movies prior to the movie coming out.

Perhaps Paramount released pictures back then to promote the movies, but later on decided which pictures would become the more "standard" pictures?

If you are scanning in magazine articles please post them in the digital thread. Check through as you may be duplicating the scans.

The "Life" article is cool especially the candid pictures of Kate Capshaw at home.

Wow, it really would be amazing if you would be able to share a few more of those scans with everyone, over in the Digital thread - I LOVE seeing how the films were pitched back in the 80's, and it's always interesting to see which images were used back then. Just goes to show just how many pictures are out there, waiting to be discovered!
I wish I was around in the early 80's to actually appreciate it all...but I only saw my first Indy film (Temple of Doom) in 1992...on VHS no less :( Sickening isn't it.

Thanks again for the previous shares!!

1992 was around the time I discovered the greatness of Indy,Willie, and Shorty,Daley.(y) I actually saw "Temple" first, (my grandmother who was essentially my mom bought it for me at Sears(!) in the children's VHS section. Raiders,I figured out,was part of the same series, and Crusade came much later, with much disappointment.

I also enjoyed the Allan Quatermain films for what they were, since superficially, they reminded me of the Indy flicks. Now they remain a rarely-watched guilty pleasure at best.

I'm loving all of the rare shots here, esp the candid actor pics. Casts like these just don't exist anymore.

No glances as Ford's new escort steps out

By ROGER TAVENER

Two of the world's biggest box office attractions failed to draw a second glance as they strolled down a London street yesterday.
But next year millions will pay to watch Hollywood stars Harrison Ford and Sean Connery In Steven Spielberg's movie Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

The third, and last, Indiana Jones epic Is being filmed on a closed, set at Elstree Studios, Hertfordshire—No guests or photographers are allowed in, The two actors appeared briefly In public as they hurried to the Royal Horticultural Society Hall in Victoria which had been turned into a 1930's Nazi Germany air terminal. The storylines are being kept secret, but insiders revealed former 007 Connery plays Indiana's father—and the 'bull-whipping adventurer's mission Is to rescue him.

Ford, hiding behind a pair of sunglasses, was already wearing a wartime khaki military uniform, but Connery seemed to be disrobing on the move—his shirt was undone and his braces trailed around a waist which has expanded since his days as James Bond, Connery, at 57 , is undaunted at playing Ford's screen father.

"I'm too old for lady-killng roles," he says. Ford, 45, has said this will be his
last appearance as the swashbuckling hero.

How times have changed. Now he's saying never say never again, even though he's older than his father was then.

I like the way that story makes it sound like they're out for a nice walk together, whereas they're in costume and actually going to work! Probably on set; not just any old road.
But hey: there's a Ford Escort pun in there- it's not all bad.
