Thanks for all links, Mutt. Have just downloaded everything, and it's great to have. (But only the 480p versions work properly on my computer.)

Do you have links for all the other web videos that have been posted? I'd like to get them all to complete the collection. :)

So you think we can say from the fourth TV spot that Ray Winestone's character bites the dust in the end? Perhaps by those natives?

There are some shots of Mac in the temple, so unless that scene with the natives takes place later, he probably bites it in the temple at some point. :(

Do you think the others may become available, or not? Either way, thanks a bunch. :hat:

Glad to help.

Well, I don't know, maybe.

I can try to look for the deeplinks to get them, but only on Flash FLV video format.

The Reverse Orchestral Choir Noise in Every Single Spot

I'll tell you, the one thing that's really become my pet peeve in these fun little teasers and spots is the complete overuse of the reverse orchestral choir rise that yelps its way into each of them!

Has anyone else picked up on these cheap little noises? They stick out like sore audial thumbs. Perhaps its my pretentious audiophility, but man they are pretty glaring.

Having said that, it's nice to see some confident title cards like "When it comes to adventure, this is the one you've been waiting for." Well, duh. ;)

There are a lot of irritating trailer trash sounds sprinkled throughout the trailers. Yeah, they bug me. But not enough to affect my opinion of the movie. Trailers are almost never a good indication of what a movie is really like.

These TV spots are great. I actually like #5 and 6.

Anyone notice that in all of these spots and trailers Marion's part is very nondescript? I think there's still a lot about this we don't know, but with each trailer and TV spot it's lookin' better and better.

"Reverse orchestral choir rise." Huh? I don't think I even know what that means.

The only thing I'd say annoys me is the constant "mythical" glitch.

It's a bit of an esoteric term.

Go to the Teaser Trailer, which has five instances of them alone and see if you can hear what I mean at the following times:

1:09
1:17
1:20
1:28
1:31
1:32

It's that big rush of noise right before the screen goes black for a second and then cuts to Spalko saying "You will help us find it."

Also, with that "mythical" glitch, it seems pretty apparent to me that there was more to that line that they cut out, but they just did it poorly. If you listen closely, you can tell that it's slightly different in different TV spots. The line sounds like it might have been something like "Legend has it a crystal skull was stolen from [insert revealing plot point here, with last word ending in a vowel sound that seems to run into the next word] mythical lost city..." and they cut it out to keep it from being revealed before the move comes out.

I love no. 8. I keep laughing at Mutt telling Indy that he's not bad for an 'old man' in a fight. But, yeah... Still not much Marion. I just said this in another thread and I'll say it again. Despite Allen being a higher billing than Winstone, he's been given more attention in the marketing. I don't get that and also Koepp said that the better drafts of the film (with other writers) had been with Marion in them. Was that a mere concidence, or is there an actual reason as to why Marion made those drafts better?

Given what the more spoiler-hungry of us know about the film (or, at least, *think* we know about the film :) ), I think all the trailers are being surprisingly restrained - seems that Paramount (or probably Spielberg) want the audience to have a few surprises when we see the film, and frankly I think that's a great idea - too many films give everything away in the trailers these days.

That said, once the film's been out a week or two then we'll see new trailers with new scenes, to lure in any stragglers who didn't beat a path to the cinema over the opening week.

No.8 is wonderful, indeed.
