Indiana Jones Adventures Volume 2

Hey everyone,

I just found this pre-order on Amazon UK for the second volume of Adventures:
Click!

Says it's coming out next month, but is it true?

Odd. It says the publisher is Titan Books

so I think this is a mistake on Amazon, as Adventures is published by Dark Horse. And I couldn't find mention of it on their web site.

I think so too, as I can't find any more info on it anywhere.
Would be nice if it wasn't a mistake though. :p

I was a bit behind the times on the first digest, but I picked up recently and thought it was a lot of fun.

I'd definitely pick up a 2nd volume if Dark Horse follows through.

This is great, really enjoyed the first volume. This format suits Indy so well. Hope they publish these on a more regular basis (hopefully 2-3 times per year, as opposed to the 1 per year rate they're at now).

:D :D :D September, though? I guess after Tomb of the Gods, and now vol. 2 of Omnibus series, I should be used to waiting for Indy stuff from Dark Horse.

The wait does suck, but its better than no Indy at all! Besides, 2009 will have plenty of Indy material released:

May
Indiana Jones and the Pyramid of the Sorcerer
Indiana Jones and the Monsters of Mount Sinai

June
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings
Indiana Jones and the Tomb of the Gods - TPB

September
Indiana Jones and the Army of the Dead
Indiana Jones Adventures, Volume 2

October
Indiana Jones Omnibus - The Further Adventures, Volume 2
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings (???? no date yet for this one other than "2009")

Granted, its no Star Wars licensing giant, but I prefer it that way (SW has diluted itself far too much).

I'm also convinced that DH will amp up the IJ Adventures volumes release schedule. Sales of the first one obviously prompted the released of subsequent volumes (hence Vol. 2), but now that DH sees its a reliable seller, they'll pump them out more often. As for more comics or novels...who knows? I'm certainly hoping for more, and I suppose sales of Army of Dead and the recent Tomb of the Gods (especially once its out in TPB and is available in bookstores) will prompt DH and Ballantine to release (or not release) future Indy products.

It's looking like another good year for all things Indy-related. Hopefully none of these releases will be pushed back further.

Well, I'll be doing my part, since I'll be buying everything on your list except for the Staff of Kings game (I'm no gamer) and the Tomb of the Gods tpb (I've got the individual issues). :D

I'm sure one or two might, but if necessary I'll wait (I won't like it though!). I'm honestly really looking forward to the YA novels (Pyramid of the Sorcerer and Monsters of Mount Sinai), they just seem like fun, Indy-esque stories from summaries and the artwork. I also like that they occur during WWII.

Overall, though, nothing compares to the excitement level of Staff of Kings. I can't wait to check that out, and then play FoA on my Wii!!

I know all too well you'll be doing your part Plaristes! You're a die-hard Indy fan, for sure.

I'm not much of a gamer myself (I find myself becoming more and more bored by video games the older I get), but will make allowances for certain games, this being foremost among them. Been looking forward to SoK for years.

As for Tomb of the Gods, I have all the singles as well, but I'll pick up the TPB and then sell the singles on Ebay.
