Honestly...will there be another Indy film in the next decade?

Couldn't we just introduce the 4 current ones to newer generations? Or any others made with Ford? Why is rebooting necessary?

The first three were pre digital and have that intended charm of 'realism' via stunts, etc. The fourth included digital and some of that came under criticism as not looking realistic enough.

How are future Indiana Jones going to be made? More CG and less stunts? They could go into the fantastical which might suit an audience more so now.

I think the younger generation will slowly discover the first four movies as their families introduce those to them. But they might consider them anomalies.

I look forward to whatever IJ movies HF has left in him and I also look forward to a new, younger actor taking up the hat and whip. The younger actor will be someone that these newer audiences can relate to and this will give new life to any continuing onscreen adventures.

I'd like to think that they'd back off with the CGI for Indy V. Kathleen Kennedy keeps talking about Star Wars Episode VII featuring more practical sets and whatnot - kind of taking a step back from the digital world of the prequels - but I'll believe it when I see it. After all, the Beards said that Indy IV wouldn't feature much in the way of visual effects, then seemed to change their mind during production.

Yep. I was under the impression it would be made exactly like the first three in order to keep it in line with the look and feel of them. I wonder what happened.

They probably went with more CGI to curb production costs and filming time, but a lot of that were Spielberg's whimsical ideas. For which he has apologized.

I sometimes think one of the problems with too much cgi is that film makers can get carried away and add too much to the film just because they can. In KOTCS, the monkies, the fridge, the cliff fall and the water falls spring to mind.

Although the effects back on the original trilogy were cutting edge at the time, at least it limited them to what they could show on screen and sometimes less is more imo.

Is anyone else wishing all the "Lawrence Kasdan is doing Star Wars ______" was "Lawrence Kasdan is working on Indy 5?"

Now there's news of him working on a Bob Fett movie. Who cares?!

Get Kasdan on Indy now.

No.

Let sleeping dogs lie.

Boba should've put Indy in carbonite in 1989, and left him "in perfect hibernation."

Oh please, Mr. Marshall, please stop with the teasing!

You're right. This is at least the second tease. Something has to be coming. Before this handful of hints, Marshall basically wanted us to know that Indy was pretty much done.

If nothing is going on, and your fan base wants things to be happening (like the last 7 years)...and you're TIRED OF THEM ASKING ABOUT IT!...would you tweet about it like Marshall has about Indiana Jones?

With a mysterious, winking tone?

Exactly. Like Indy said, the ground could fall out beneath our feet, but Marshall and Lucasfilm are clearly on the road to Indy 5 at this time. These teases would mean no other possibility since Marshall wouldn't be involved with anything Indy except a new film.

As I've said before, until we get the green light there's no guarantee. But before now all it was was Spielberg and Lucas saying "maybe someday." Now this new stuff tells us "we're working on it." Indy 5 has more chance now than before.

People speculating on the possibility of a new film doesn't hurt you. Grow up.

If it doesn't happen, then we'll have been proven wrong, won't we? Let us have our delusions.

Does Frank roll with a Wall-E hover craft? Check out who's behind him? And, there's no plaid in sight?!
