Fact is, I've ardently supported many things from the new film. Several of the photos, the teaser poster (which many disliked), even the new font on the teaser poster. My track record isn't as one sided as you claim.

Uh...actually, there was only about 1 minute and 15 seconds of footage from the new film...but, who's counting?

Umm..WOW,
just one thing,

the CGI and the Action... I couldn't help to notice that it was a little too much. Sure there was only 2:00 minutes worth, but... I think i'll go as far as to say the trailer seemed alittle too...

Resident Alien is always looking for an argument. He's never said a kind word to me. And he probably won't in his reply to this message either.

I am curious about this CGI reaction. What does everyone think is CGI in the trailer? I am not saying for sure there is not any at all. But most of what I see is practical effects. Very elaborate stunts and camera setups to be sure but done on the set.

Of course long establishing shots are going to be CGI matte paintings. In the old days those would have been 2D matte paintings or physical models. But this transition to CGI establishing shots is true for all movies these days. They certainly could not have build that Pyramid full size or find a real one that fits the requirements of the story!

Probably the cliff part and the explosion. That's really all.

Don't you remember the first LAST CRUSADE trailer?

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1800080788/video/6432222/

After seeing that, people were probably really skeptical also. But the fact is, Spielberg's movies are NEVER like the trailers for them. The trailers help sell the movie, but once you walk into the film, it's a completely different experience.

I've never seen a Spielberg trailer that evoked the same feeling that his films do. Never.

I hope there is not so much CGI in the finished movie. Let's pray... too much CGI (like in the Trailer) and and this movie is doomed.

Yeah, it's weird: not many people share this sentiment. I watched the trailer with the utmost happiness. I thought it was fantastic.

Then again, I'm an overly optimistic person when it comes to movies. I think everything's good.

Indy Trailer ONLINE

You may see the trailer at indianajones.pl (quite poor quality though - several hours before official presentation online). Just click the first news "Trailer Indiana Jones 4"

Have fun,

Raider

$%$#@ me running. This trailer.... oh boy.... I indeed had the big grinn on me face as well. In fact, I've been running around the house wearing my hat all morning.

I think, no, I know this film will be the film we all have been waiting for.

For real.

It's sad with all these anti-CGI types. Why not make the movie with analogue sound recording, black and white, and stop motion instead? It's 2008, not 1981. You can't make a 80's movie in 2008, smell the future boys.

Correct! After all: it IS Spielberg's own vision... Who are we to be overly prejudiced (well ) on the latest realization of a celebrated Academy Award-winning cinematographer/director/master storyteller ?

Not watching the bootleg, I can only watch this in HD. Hopefully it'll be online within the next hour.

If you fail to spot a thing that's merely been one of the hot topics around the board for the last few hours, that does require a little snap on the fingers in my opinion.

Well, not used to it since on most movie boards, Spoiler and non-Spoiler sections don't merge on content. Anyway, was just trying to give a head's up. Duly noted.

So how 'bout that trailer?
