In years when creativity and a good story were a stength to balance still primitive graphics, LucasArts (then LucasFilm) released a number of graphic adventures that are some of the best games of that time and all times.
I can think of 3 series of 2 games each that where part of that Era:
- Maniac Mansion & Day of the Tentacle
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade & Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
- The Secret of Monkey Island & Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
I enjoyed the three series a lot, but I will go undoubtely with the Monkey Island serie.
The best, more imaginative and funny of all. Pirates of the Caribbean surely took a good look to the world and tone Monkey Island shows.
