I'm a huge fan of Romero's past work in the zombie genre. Hell he invented it. I'm really looking forward to this long awaited sequel. I've even heard rumors that if its a sucess they may make 2 more installments.

Be sure to come back and write your thoughts on the flick. Unfortunatly I won't be able to catch it tonight and probably not even this weekend. So it would be nice to hear some thoughts from a fellow fan of the genre.

I dig a good zombie movie, but I'm of the opinion that if you've seen one, you've pretty much seen 'em all....

I tend to agree with you to a certain extent but like anything there is always an exception to the rule. Romero is the Godfather of Zombie flicks and can capture the genre like no one else. Afterall it is his creation.

Another good example of a zombie movie that I think stood out was 28 Days Later. Just a matter of opinion i guess.

Shawn Of The Dead and Return Of The Living Dead are my favs...

Well guys, I just got back from Land of the Dead! It was pretty darn cool... maybe I was expecting a little more from it, but it wasn't a let down by any means. Perhaps the whole experience would have been better if not for the row of idiots sitting right behind me talking the whole time...

But apparently, the best place to gossip these days is during a Friday afternoon movie...

*sigh*
Anyway back on track... the movie was awesome, some pretty gorey stuff though, so leave the kids at home.

If you love zombies and/or Romero's previous films, GO SEE IT NOW
If you haven't seen any of the other Dead films... go see it anyway, you don't need to.
Either way you won't be disappointed!
