Say Finn, have you ever played a game called Hotel Dusk for the Nintendo DS? For I probably would classify that as an Adventure game combined with a mystery novel. There is quite a bit of puzzle solving although this often takes a back seat to the dialogue and story. Would you consider that an adventure game?
I haven't, unfortunately. But judging by your description, there is nothing in it at least that would make me say it's not an adventure game.

Also, since you were looking for recommendations, I suggest you take a gander at the Broken Sword series. The story themes, humor and general execution should be right up an Indyfan's alley.

I'll second that recommendation. I'll go one step further and say that 1 & 3 are the best, followed by the second, and Angel of Death - the last game - is a distant last place.

I also recommend The Last Express, one of the finest adventure games ever created.

For a more recent vintage with an Indiana Jones connection, I would recommend Mata Hari.

So. My first playthrough of Dragon Age is complete. Human noble rogue, on a medium difficulty and if the time counter in the game is correct, I spent nearly 150 hours with the story.

That's... wow. Just wow. Can't even recall when was the last time it took me this long to finish a game. Maybe it was at the time of Diablo II? Eh, whatever. It was a blast, through and through. Easily the GOTY for me.

Now, I guess I'll have that final chapter of Tales of Monkey Island to check out, though I'm fairly certain I'll be back in Ferelden as well, sooner rather than later.

Phoenix Wright arrived in the mail yesterday, I just finished the third chapter. So far, a very interesting game, but I don't know if it counts as an adventure game.

I should expecting Broken Swords on the PC to come by mail any day now. Thanks again to Finn for the recommendation.

Sorry, I havn't, Reedeem.

I been playing Phantasy Star IV. One of the best RPGS ever played.

I got your PM Agent Crab. But I can't respond because it says your inbox is full. BTW I think might get Phantasy Star Zero for the Nintendo DSi; if you have it perhaps we can play together online?

I may pick up that game. My friend said he enjoyed PS0. I keep seeing it at my local game shop.

Sounds great! BTW I just came across this video on youtube.com. It seems as if one can download a "smaller, bite sized" Phantasy Star 0 experience straight to their Nintendo DSi.

I have been playing through the old Sonic the Hedgehog games. They are a lot harder than how I remember them.

I know, right? I usually find myself stuck in a section of the level or constantly hitting some lame spikes and losing my rings nowadays. Not to mention the boss battles. When I was a kid I remember breezing right through those games.

Not as easy as it used to be. :hat:

Yes, the amount of cheap deaths in these games is surprising. I can be running and jumping all smooth and BAM hit a spike or some enemy that's right in my path.
I bet I had to start over in Scrap Brain Zone seven times.
