Customizing Indy Figures

I wouldn't want to post it in two sections; it's way too big. Like 300 pages big.

Also I hate it when others post the same stuff in different sections just to get attention. It grinds my gears.

I'm still undecided; pretty much every character in my dio is a custom, as are most of the vehicles and sets.

These are all really cool, though I do wonder why this is in the "Collecting Indy" forum - it seems to me customizations (especially those that don't use actual licensed Indy toys, though also those that do) would fall more into the realm of, say, "Indy Fanwork and Activities," for example. Not that I'm complaining, exactly, just mystified.

Anyway, there's a ton of really sweet work here.

Collecting and customizing go hand in hand. Twas ever thus.

While far it's more prevalent in the Star Wars and GI Joe collector communities,(which also have a much larger pool of stuff to collect), I still think it makes most sense for the customs to be under the collecting umbrella.

I think customizing, while clearly a "creative" endeavor, is an extension of the collector urge.

Just got me one of the staff cars. Hey Nick, how did you make the rack on the back? What materials did you use and where can they be purchased? Any suggestions on making it more movie accurate or details about "how to implement" would be great. Thanks and awesome work

Wow, these suckers are finally back in stock! Seems like they had been sold out everywhere over the past year.

Time to get one for me!

They were recalled. I have been waiting for mine since December 28th 2010. Finally ships tomorrow. Any suggestions welcome on modifying it.

A couple or so months ago,I posted a request for a talented customizer to create an ultra- poseable "Palace Escape Willie" for me....and only one person replied, and having seen his work,I'm entirely convinced it was the right man for the job.
Over the past few weeks,he and I have communicated via private message, discussing figure recipe, articulation, costume details, paint washes/weathering,etc....and without further ado,I unveil inky_skin's Palace Escape Willie Scott! (more pix to follow once I actually have her in my hands).

*Note the hand-sculpted belt, articulated ankles(using Hasbro Willie's original feet!) "sequin" detail on the pants, and silver wash on the costume details to mimic the look of the film.*

The cart is also mine, along with a lightly customized Temple Indy,(not pictured)and the rope bridge dio you see behind her. Quite possibly inky's best work..and all for a very fair price. I can't wait to get this stuff.

Looks like more absolutely top notch work from Inky. He's the best of the best and an amazing person to deal with. What a great figure!!!

Thank you, couldn't agree more. I've taken some really fun pics on my phone, but my web is out until next week when I get a new computer. Will post them at this time. Willie,as I've said before,is my fave Indy girl, and this figure has opened up so many posing opportunities. She fits perfectly in the mine car with Indy and Shorty! Inky is by far the best.(y)

On another note, does anyone know off the top of their head if any of the Temple guards came with a khyber rifle, like those seen firing at Indy and company during the mine scenes?
