"Florence", "Prague", "Palestine" and "Transylvania" aired in Europe, Australia and certain provinces of Canada. I have some airdates for those and will dig them out. The only true unaired episodes are "Tangiers", "Morocco" and the full version of "Princeton 1919". (Small portions were used as the original bookends to "Travels With Father".)

"Palestine" was originally only 1 hour. The VHS/DVD of "Daredevils of the Desert" is an extended version of the story with most of the extra stuff fleshing out the middle so there can't really be a "Part 2" for "Palestine".

Hope this helps.:)

According to the American Titles and Air Dates Guide website I got these from, and it seems pretty accurate,it seems that the reason they are considered "two parts" isn't because they were aired at different times but, because they considered them two episodes that aired on the same night, therefore, making it kind of like a T.V. movie. The only episodes that were considered "two parts" with different air dates were aired on different nights one week after the other like the way they were normally aired in the United States.Sorry,if my way of explaining this is confusing. But,I hope it helped.

Yes,I kind of figured that since you put up the Transylvania bookends on YouTube,But,I think that the website I got this information from is an American Titles and Air Dates Guide. It can be found here:http://epguides.com/YoungIndianaJonesChronicles/

Yes,it certainly does,Stoo.Thank you!(y)

By the way,I have a question.Didn't The Phantom Train of Doom have any bookends?

Kind of confusing but the only 2 hr shows that can be truly considered 2 parters are the ones with bookends in the middle (which would be "Curse of the Jakcal", "Scandal of 1920" and the George Hall version of "Mystery of the Blues"). That's the way I look at it, anyway.

AnnieJones said:

No, it didn't. It was the first episode to not have any (and I have no idea as to why).

AnnieJones said:
Another question.Do you know if it's true that there were unfilmed Young Indy episodes and if so,is it true that these http://www.indyfan.com/articles/yijchb.html were the unfilmed episodes?
Yes, but I think Crack that whip and Rocket Surgeon already pointed that out to you in another thread which is why I didn't bother replying.;)

Inexorable Tash said:
As described, Laird Malamed's episode assignment sheets tally pretty well with the above - anyone notice any interesting discontinuities?
Yes, a couple but I'd rather elaborate in one of the many other threads on the lost/unfilmed episodes (just to keep all the information in the relevant place).

Sorry about that.
In other words,I personally consider episodes like The Curse of the Jackal,The Hollywood Follies,Treasure of the Peacock's Eye,Attack of the Hawkmen, and Travels with Father to be one entry episodes. It's just that the "A Titles and Air Dates Guide" considers them two,and when I made this thread I was going by them.

Episodes like German East Africa,December 1916 and Congo,January 1917,I would personally consider them two separate episodes, but again,I was using "A Titles and Air Dates Guide" as my guide.

Thank you so much for your help Stoo and InexorableTash!
You two have been more help than you will know.;)

Thanks for posting all of these airdates and other info. This thread really brings me back! I remember watching the YIJC episodes when they originally aired on U.S. network TV in 1992/1993. I never had cable so a friend taped the four cable (Family Channel?!) TV movies from 1994-1996.

I also remember seeing some of the unaired episodes listed in the "TV guide", but they were pulled before they ever actually came out. If not for the excellent DVD sets, I would never have seen these episodes.

I'm going to leave it in and only because I want to show how the episodes were fit together when they were put dvd.

Stoo said:

I'm going to keep "The Mystery of the Blues" and "The Scandal of 1920" separate because they either have different locations or different months listed for each one. Example, notice it says London and Egypt on the first one and South Pacific on the second one.
Treasure of the Peacock's Eye (London/Egypt, November 1919)
Treasure of the Peacock's Eye (South Pacific, November 1919)
And this one says Russia on the first one and Athens on the second one.
Travels with Father (Russia, 1910)
Travels with Father (Athens, 1910)
But "The Hollywood Follies" I can definitely keep the same.(y)

The following is how the episodes are compiled on dvd.

Volume One: The Early Years
My First Adventure
1.The Curse of the Jackal (Part 1 - Egypt, May 1908)
2.Tangiers 1908 (originally unaired)

Travels with Father
7.Travels with Father (Russia, 1910)
