Liam Neeson would be a ****ing amazing Indiana Jones. He's got that Ford vibe in his more recent thrillers. Similar face, voice, screen presence...

Your kidding right?? Neeson has just as much of a similar face, voice and screen presence to Ford as Rosie Odonnell does.

What would be the point anyway? They're like 10 years apart.

Neeson would make a great sidekick for Indy though, ala Mac and Marcus.

No, it's an blindingly good choice. As would Henry Winkler be dressed as the fonz make a great James Bond.

Logic - James Bond is cool and so is the Fonz. Bond likes the ladies and so does the Fonz. Bond has M and Q, the Fonz has Mr C and Mrs C.

If you just want an actor to just be a look-a-like, how boring, you might has well do no better than cast Nick Faldo and a good set of clubs.

He looks like Ford and can be counted on at the 18th.

I'm so pleased with my logic that i've decided to be a casting agent and look forward to getting Rosie into the Fedora.

Michael Keaton, Mr Mom, who knew!

Harrison Ford will be in Berlin on next sunday for the german premiere of "Morning Glory". So we german Indy fans will keep our ears and eyes wide open for Indy 5 related statements. :)

That was my plan, compatriot.:hat:

Well if they start filming in July of this year and offical announcement could still be forthcoming but it would have to be soon.

I just checked and KOTCS' official announcement was made by George Lucas on December 29, 2006 right before New Year's 2007 and this was for the 2008 release. So we are about a week behind where we were four years ago without any official news. The logistical time line for a movie like this for a 2012 release dictates an official revalation would have to happen very very soon.

But would Spielberg even have time to film this for a 2012 release? He's got Lincoln, Tintin, and Warhorse on his plate.

I say no earlier than 2013, especially considering there doesn't even seem to be a script a the moment.

Unless I'm missing some quote or piece of news about 2012

Rumors of George Lucas digitizing old dead actors for new films are true as latest one sheet reveals. Actually a drawing I did in 1985

Mitchell, I remembered you talking about around June of `10, and I was wondering now that we're into January 2011, if you have heard anything else regarding this...your thoughts? An update?
Mitchie? Opinions? Confirmations? Retractions? Interpretations? Reimaginings?

Till the end of 2011 - Post-production of "Tintin" and "Warhorse"
Fall 2011 - Start of shooting "Lincoln"
Beginning of 2012 - Start of shooting "Robopocalypse"

2013 seems to be the most realistic date for shooting Indy 5.

'Lincoln' has been in development hell and might stay there for a few more years. It's possible Spielberg may give Indy top priority if the project needed done.

I've flip-flopped on whether #5 is a good idea.

The longer the uncertainty goes on, the less interested I am in seeing #5, because I get the feeling it'll be a regrettable incident that, instead of making amends for failings in KOTCS, will sink the series further.

KOTCS was like the Wurffler - it sank but never completely submerged. That fate could probably be reserved for #5, once they've cobbled together a story that Harry can work to, and in which Shia can take the lion's share. It would be really regrettable if #5 was merely the preparation for a series of money-spinning Mutt adventures made specifically for kids.

I just don't trust/like George's direction. It began with the Ewoks in 1983. Lucas is always in danger of falling off the wagon, and needs a strong personality to keep him in check, and Spielberg hasn't always been a positive influence. Maybe this is no country for old men.

It WAS in development hell until they announced Daniel Day Lewis was going to star and it would release in the 4th quarter 2012.
