white circles move across the screen.......a cool theme kicks in ..........and a gunbarrel aims at a man in a tux..........BAM!!!! he shoots first.......blood drips down the barrell..........what a dead shot......but who is he???? Who is this Man???? He's Bond.....................

...........................................James Bond

April 13th, 1953 Ian Flemming Wrote "Casino Royale", It would begin the bond EMPIRE that to this day is the longest running and one of the most well know and loved film series EVER

in 1962 Sean Connery was chosen to be Bond in the first bond film......DR. No

bond 2....From Russia With love...The ULTIMATE Cold War Spy Thriller

the 3rd bond film....goldfinger is considered one of the best and more memorable bond films ever.....No other series was so cool that it could have a hot car such as the artin Martin DB5.....no film series dared use such suggestive names and themes.....no hero dared mock the other british craze (the beatles)........no one could match his style....his suave.....it was pure gold......No film series was as cool as bond, James Bond......From here on.....James Bond was a household name

it's been estimated that at least 1/2 of the world has seen at least 1 Bond film.......(and I bet it's much more :D)

Connery....Lazenby....Moore...Dalton....Brosnan....... 20 films.... 40+ Novels (plus dozens of short stories).....comics....games........50 Years on top of the world..............and still going strong

the best spy series ever

the most instalments of any film series

the best cars...best girls....most evil villians ever.........No one is as Cool as bond

as you can all see....I'm a bond fanatic...I am a library of bond facts and knowledge...........I did this all from memory and could go on forever with enough words to make the raven run out of memory :D

I know there are alot of Big bond fans on this board, indy 007, Kumba and more.......so let's discuss the biggest film series of them all

DOWN WITH BOND!

Nah, I'm just kidding you my friend, and once again pointing out that although I realize James Bond is a part of cinema history, I have yet to see any of the Bond movies.

WHAT?! HAVE YOU BEEN STUCK IN A CAVE WITH A COMPUTER FOR THE PAST 40 YEARS! GOTT IN HIMMEL! Seriously, you really need to watch Bond. You might say he could be an inspiration to Indiana Jones, because I think it was Steven Spielburg who wanted to do a James Bond film but Lucas gave him the Indy idea. Die Another Day, the newest Bond film, comes out for rent June 3rd, I beleive, and you should DEFINETLY rent it, although much of the old Bond films are really great too. My favorite Bond film is The Living Daylights, but Goldfinger and From Russia With Love and You Only Live Twice are also really great ones.

it's a good film, but goldfinger, TSWLM and others are better....but it's still a good one

Well...which one would you recommend to see first? Goldfinger? Dr. No? From Russia with Love?

Oh, and Kumba, yes, I have been in a cave with a computer for the past 40 years. Of course, for the first twenty-five years or so, it was pretty cramped in there, but later on, they let me have a smaller one, so I can move my elbows around every once in awhile... ;)

"Shhhocking, shhimply shhhocking."

Goldfinger will always be the classic, but I like "You only live twice" the best. For your Eye's only is the best Moore(second fav being Octopuss-), License to kill seems too eightieish, so I'll go with the Living Daylights.

Goldeneye was the best Brosnan outing, followed closely TND then DAD. Then theres that Aussie Bond which was ok.

Sometimes i can really get into the Bonds, the superstation usually has marathons going on in November accompanying the release of a new installment, but I don't own any Bonds.

I'd say start with Goldfinger or From Russia With Love, you might find Dr. No a little boring on your first viewing(well I did anyway).

well, actually it was:

"shocking........................................positively shocking"

anywho

any bond film is a good one to start, because no one really set up the charactor as most 1st films do...........

but as swords (or someone) mentioned, From russia with love and Goldfinger are 2 of the best from the early ones

FRWL is the IDEAL and ultimate cold war spy thriller, interesting to see that the russians....well, I'll let you find that out on your own

I personally started with tomorrow never dies not the best bond film, and the theme song sucked, but after that, It's a good film (and david arnold's score was FANTASTIC!!!)

James Bond will Return.............................

uhhhh, are you implying that Han Solo is a Bond Rip-Off? Solo DID NOT say his name like that

yeah well, look at the line format. harrison probably changed inflictions on purpose. you know nothing out of GL is very original. nah, solo is better than bond. i saw part of goldfinger and i was slightly bored by lack of things happening.

Definetly; Bond could kick Solo's @$$! Arg, those lucky bastards in Britain already have DAD! I think you should watch the movies in order, Attila. Some people may think Dr. No is boring, but it is a very good detective film, and has a very well written script. You should probably stay away from some of the Roger Moore Bond films, such as A View to a Kill, haha, I'm sure 00Kevin knows what I'm talking about! Oh, and Attila, is your cave located under Stonehenge?

Dilemma #1... sorry, but I have to.

Bond is a legend.

Bond flicks are good to watch and nice entertainment, but it's gone long over my head how can the guy be still alive and intact. Bond doesn't get old but keeps going from day to day. Could somebody explain me how is this possible?

(I just feel I can't talk Bond seriously before somebody answers to this.) :)

Hey, none of the movies are really connected, so his age doesn't matter. But, if you think he should be dead, or severely sick, you're probably right! Think of all those women....and what can happen when you......around. Haha, but no one ever thinks of that anyway! I'm sure Bond has a gadget to detect such potential threats! ;)

nah, i like han better ;)

hes a very cute, scruffy and young version of harrison!

and carrie of course is just too funny and cool!

i like the scruffy look better than the gentlemanly look.

1 thing I can say to that:

Q-Branch :D

but really, bond was always intended to be a modern charactor, not to be stuck in the 60's, so they had to do this

and who wants to see some 70 year old bond going around getting all the girls????? that stinks!!!

as for HOW, well, who really cares about how?

but if you want to know:

in 1961 there was a James Bond/Indiana Jones Crossover

in it, bond managed to find the holy grail and drink from it, giving him eternal life.....and in the bond series, that also gives you the power to stay the same age forever, and change bodies every few movies :D
