I wish the news was like that today. Now it's all about grabbing everyone's attention and then keeping it for 30 seconds before jumping to another "big topic", with all kinds of tickers and ads playing at the bottom of the screen. More than anything though, it just feels like it was more honest back then.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched that - it was so calm & quiet, no flashy graphics, distracting gimmicks etc. A bygone era...

Sadly, tho, journos still have nothing new to say twenty odd years later....
