Crystal Skull

Before I start, don't get me wrong because I really liked KOTCS. However, it's always bothered me that there was no reference to Indy's history with crystal skulls from the Max McCoy novels. To me the books are just as much a part of the characters history as the young Indiana Jones tv series is.

There's a brief moment in KOTCS where Indy points out that the film's skulls are "NOT the Mitchell-Hedges Skull." So there's no contradiction with the books' skulls, at least.

As for canon, I don't think the filmmakers bother with respecting EU stories, if it means they can use it for their own means. Sad, but true.

The novel's Crystal Skull wasn't the Mitchell-Hedges Skull either.
