Ben Kingsley: ?On top of the brilliant script, you have the King ? Martin Scorsese,? he says. ?It was a joy to work with him. He elevates joy. Every frame of every film to him is a diamond. Everything is important to him. Everything is beautiful to him. He can?t stop talking about the films that he?s restored or seen, naming the cast of something made in 1949 made by some little British director or the Powell-Pressburger films he?s addicted to.?

'...The Martin Scorsese-directed flick is set in 1954 and is about U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio), who is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island. Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson and Michelle Williams also costar...'

I thought he shed that in 2002 (with Gangs of New York and Catch Me if You Can). I remember when he was up for the Anakin in the SW prequels and how people totally thought he'd ruin Star Wars! Yeah, wow...I'm sure glad they cast Hayden instead of DiCaprio!

I thought he was awesome in The Departed and Blood Diamond (even though that film was only mediocre). I haven't seen Revolutionary Road yet but it looked like another good performance. Leo is totally underrated!

I still hate Titanic though!

No, although The Departed had shining moments...he wasn't compelling. The Irish guy from Braveheart stole all the scenes he was in. DiCaprio has fallen into some roles he's just unfit for...

I've become most comfortable with DiCaprio working with Scorsese. He's more than proved himself in recent collaborations.

Oh, and Fitzy rocked!

Why? There's no point in reading a script unless you're a.) involved in the making of the picture or b.) want to learn how to write a script. Otherwise, you shouldn't be reading anything until after the picture comes out.

I am, however, really looking forward to Island. I get some strong Lovecraftian vibes from the trailer; doubt they travel the same territory, though. Dennis Lehane has never dabbled in the preternatural.
